Bad to the Bone Pet Care offers a wide variety of fully customizable in-home services across Northeast Florida. Growing up with animals and having many experiences with different pet sitting organizations, Doug started Bad to the Bone with the aim to provide the best pet care at the lowest rates possible. Since 2013, Bad to the Bone has grown to include an amazing team of five licensed and insured

sitters, providing Overnight Stays, Drop-In Visits, Daily Dog Walking, and weekly Play Groups. Bad to the Bone was voted "Best Pet Sitting Service" in Northeast Florida in 2016. Bad to the Bone is licensed and insured through the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters and Small Business Insurers of the Carolinas.

We love supporting local businesses! Today we had the opportunity to meet with Nikki, owner of Duval Dogs Daycare and Boarding in Murray Hill! They offer boarding and daycare, and we were very happy to learn that they cap their play group sizes for a safer and more enjoyable experience for the pups! Nikki has a true passion for pet care and doing things the right way. We are happy to recommend Duval Dogs for boarding and daycare!

We have transported Tonka over 4,000 miles in the first 30 days of 2025! The first week of January, we flew up to Minneapolis to drive him to South Florida where he spent the month with his family, and then we drove him back home to Minnesota this past weekend!

Tonka is an older pup and takes several medications including pills and eye drops and he needs to be lifted in and out of the car. We offer private pet transportation to ensure all of these needs can be met with love and patience while on the road. Being on the road can be very stressful for pets, so it’s vital to pick a transport who is also an experienced pet professional who knows how to properly care for your pets, not just get them from point A to point B.
