Pumpkin is my answer to a lot of stomach issues caused by stress!

I like to stay a step ahead of any potential upset tummies by adding pumpkin into the dogs diet if i know there may be some added anxiety. Here are a few of the situations where i would introduce pumpkin to proactively help settle a stomach.
-bringing home a new puppy
-before/after vaccines
-when on vacation
-when moving
-when transitioning to a new food
-when you have visitors staying at your house
-when boarding/have a pet sitter
-when adding a new addition to your family
-when feeling sick (with vets approval!)

Every dog is different and they all handle stress differently! Some dogs are more sensitive to others…but adding a tasty treat during those times of adjustment and uncertainty will not only soothe your canines belly aches, but will also give you peace of mind by not dealing with as many potential smelly accidents. 👍🏼

We don’t share human food often (i don’t want any hairy beggars) but i will prepare food puzzles for them and will include some fun, tasty human food for some extra incentive. I like to add peanut butter, apple sauce, plain green yogurt, canned pumpkin, and certain fresh veggies and fruit! What special treat does your dog enjoy?

So important to remember ❤️

When you get your 8 week old puppies, please keep these images in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

When you're letting your puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.

A day in the life of Peach: wake up, eat, check on baby, try to eat Louis’ bone, check on baby, take every toy out of the basket, nap, help baby with tummy time, wrestle with Violet, nap, check on baby, beg for ice when i fill up my water bottle, play with every toy she has all over the house, check on baby, nap, eat, go on a walk and play fetch, check on baby, nap, play with violet, snuggle with me and baby on the couch, go to bed. She’s living her dream life 😂
