This sad little guy was picked up in Ferndale. Cold wet and shivering. We warmed him up and syringe fed him. Banana baby food works every time!

Our little rat trap possum from Westland is making progress. He still has some recovery ahead but heβs coming around.
We recently had a large tree massacre in our area. This is a successful reunification of a mom and her babies. We were fortunate enough to have some caring tree cutters alert us so that we could assist. We put the nest with the babies in a box so she could find them. She relocated all 3 of them. Squirrel moms are the best moms. They usually have extra hide outs just in case β€οΈ. We are relieved that these babies were not orphaned. β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
AN EASTER MIRACLE (Squirrel version)
Jared came to us in early December after being hit by a car. His prognosis was guarded at best. After almost 4 months in our care, he was released back into the wild this morning. These are the stories that make what we do worth it. β€οΈβ€οΈ

Our mange raccoon is getting his FUZZ on. Weβve seen an increase in mange this year, likely due to the warm winter. Itβs not hard to treat but it requires several months of captivity which causes stress and anxiety. He has at least another month before we can consider a release. In the meantime heβs getting first class service with a smile πβ¦.. (π«€ heβs not impressed ππ)
