Happy New Year🎉 2024 was a great year at Spay Neuter Northwest!!! SNNW provided 2574 spay neuter surgeries for dogs, cats, and feral cats in 2024. This is 600 more surgeries than 2023!!! In addition, SNNW placed 50 kittens/cats into forever homes through the SNNW Kitten Adoption Program. Thank you to Dr. Monroe and the SNNW Team Shelby, Rhonda, Tina, and Jessica.

Open to the public and to rescue organizations, Spay Neuter Northwest provides quality, compassionate, and affordable spay neuter services for dogs, cats, and feral cats (FERAL25 Program). SNNW also works with local spay neuter voucher organizations to be able to provide financial assistance for those who qualify.

***ADOPTED*** Once upon a time there were two feral kittens named Maisel and Marge. Maisel, 3/4 pound, was a solo feral kitten that was trapped during a TNR trapping and Marge, one pound, was born into a different feral colony but decided she wanted to be friendly and was found because she was seeking out human attention and affection. Both kittens were extremely lucky to be brought to Spay Neuter Northwest at different times and accepted into their Kitten Foster Program. Initially the kittens were fostered in separate homes and then it was decided to introduce them to each other. Marge and Maisel took to each other immediately and formed a bond so incredibly strong you would ask if they are sisters. They spend their days climbing cat towers, playing with each other, playing with other cats and a large dog, snuggling with other, and spending time with their human foster. Both and Maisel and Marge have been spayed and are ready for adoption as a bonded pair so they can live happily ever after together. THE END.

Regarding the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) that has killed both domestic and wild felines. Please do not to feed pets unpasteurized milk or raw/undercooked meat. Pets should also be kept away from wild birds. Please read for the FDA's guidance for pet owners regarding HPAI.

The FDA is providing pet owners and animal caretakers with information about ways to reduce the risk to their animals of contracting HPAI (H5N1).
