Stay Alert for Heat Stroke in Dogs!
With temperatures soaring over 100 degrees this week, it's crucial to keep an eye on our pups. Heat stroke can be life-threatening, so knowing the signs is essential:
Heavy panting and difficulty breathing
Excessive drooling
Vomiting and diarrhea
Rapid heart rate
Weakness or collapse
Bright red or purple gums - they will turn gray as shock sets in.
If you notice any of these signs, move your dog to a cool area and seek veterinary care immediately.
Remember - it is OK to leave them home! They'd rather be there chillin' in the nice AC then traveling around in this hot weather!
Stay safe and keep your pups cool!
