For all of you in the Cutting game, this is what a plus cut looks like. Audrey Wright this last weekend at the high school cutting showed phenomenal with this cut. Ex*****on was dead on, and she gave herself the opportunity for a successful run because it all started with this cut.
 I was able to get the video from her dad so that I could post this for everybody to see. Very very cool to watch young kids work hard and be successful.

Duties include:
Feeding horses/cattle (twice daily)
Cleaning stalls (twice daily)
Daily ranch chores (depending on what needs done)
Possibly saddling, washing, grooming, riding… all depending on experience/ability.

Today we were fortunate enough to have David Baker come out and work with his families 2yo mare.
Todays work is a little extra special and he took the leap of climbing on for a special moment to share with Star.
You see, last week David lost his mother to a long battle with cancer, and he has stepped up to work their horses in her honor.

David, you are such a strong young man and we are so thankful to be a part of your journey to continue your mothers love for the horses!

A huge congratulations to Jacob Burke and Miss Meteles Magic this weekend at the NRCCHA redwood circuit finals show in Reno, NV.

Jacob has only been cutting for a couple of months now and the hard work is paying off! The team was reserve champions in the senior youth this weekend receiving their first cutting buckle.

Congrats jacob!

Thank you to his help him the pen and the great show crew for putting on a great show.

Today is a busy day for Kirk and the crew.

Kirk is headed to Bishop for the district 9 HS cutting to turnback and help the amazing clients down there!
Good luck to Wade Van Nest, Ashley Griffin, and Paden Soto In the cutting at Bishop.
Also, good luck to all of the kids showing in district 9. Let’s get the year started off right!

There is also the White Pine HS cutting in Ely today!
We would like to wish all of the kids showing good luck especially Jacob Burke, Lane Byrd, Cooper Hill, and Sabra Steen! Go get ‘em kids!!

“Not easy to keep clean but VERY easy on the eyes”
She has been in our program for 60 days to tune up and offer up for your consideration.
-walk, trot, lope, turnaround, stop, collection, arena ride, trail ride…the list goes on and on.
-would consider her a horse for an intermediate rider with some experience.
-she will be “looky” and “spook” at random things from time to time. However, hasn’t offered to buck or do anything mean natured.
-very sweet mare.
-would be suitable for possible English disciplines or be a lockable horse for a girl in gymkhana or just to ride or really to have a “heart horse”.

With that being said, I have been asked to reschedule to tomorrow , Friday, night in order to get a big solid group together!!!

—-second focus will be how we can work hard and still have fun doing it as a “horse family”
—-please shoot Kirk a message to get signed up and ready for some fun
—-audits are welcome (bring some chairs and set up anywhere around the arena)

Today was a little “flag session” with Pam and Prima!
What a great team they make! Thank you Pam for coming out and being a part of our team/barn!

—our flag lessons are structured to work on feel, movement, and end with intensity!
—feeling your horse hit the ground and draw.
—moving smoothly and correctly with the flag across the pen.
—having your horse take over and crave that cow in the middle of the pen.
