Hey there, pet parents! 😻
As the weather starts to change into a fall-like pattern, we here at the Pet Center see a spike in loved ones with flea infestations. No one wants to deal with fleas, so we have come up with a handy guide to help you and your fur baby avoid those annoying pests!
Remember, fleas can be far more than just an annoyance; they can spread diseases such as tapeworms, feline infectious anemia, and even forms of typhus! Prevention is key to keeping our babies safe and comfortable!

Introducing our brand new Velvet Urn Bags! They are able to hold any urn that your loved one's remains are in, and provides protection from scuffs and scratches as well as adds a decorative looks to their urn. Without fail, every summer there is a spike in parvovirus cases at the Pet Center, and we want to spread the word on how to easily prevent this deadly disease!
Parvovirus is a highly contagious virus that affect dogs' gastrointestinal tracts. While the virus can affect all dogs, unvaccinated puppies younger than four months are at the most risk of catching it. Learn to recognize the symptoms of parvo and get your pet to a vet ASAP if you see any.
Parvo kills very quickly, and it is no laughing matter. Please consider getting your fur baby vaccinated to help fight against parvovirus, as it could end up saving their - and someone else's pet's - life.

Aquamation Education! 💧

Flame cremation is often associated with big, black plums of smoke coming from the crematories they occur in, and rightly so, because they expel around 190kg of carbon per cremation... that's the equivalent of driving 470 miles in a car! Water cremation, on the other hand, gives off far less carbon emissions and does NOT put any smoke into Mother Nature's atmosphere. Today is the first day of August, which means that kiddos around the nation are gearing up to go back to school in the coming weeks! In an effort to get young minds ready to learn, a few cities in our neck of the woods are hosting back-to-school events!
On August 4th, the city of Ferris, TX is providing free school supplies and haircuts so your children can look their best this year!
On August 12th, the city of Wilmer, TX is providing free school supplies/backpacks and flu shots to keep your kids healthy during this flu season.

In our line of work, we deal with loss and heartache every day... but this one is extremely close to home and our hearts are hurting. Beau was a beautiful boy who touched the lives of everyone who knew him, and lived a very long and happy life with his wonderful owners. We take comfort and knowing that he is now with his sister, Molly, spending the rest of eternity with his best friend. Beau will be forever missed and never forgotten 💚
