My personal kitty Angela wants to say a reminder-

I, myself would NEVER think to randomly unannounced show up to your house demanding help, asking to solve your problems and I expect the same in return.

We are a very small rescue who can only do so much, I work full time on top off this.

It is not okay for others to interrupt my work day, stop me at the grocery store, barge in on meetings I'm in, and stop in places to find me because you see my vehicle.

Just because the job I do is rescue does NOT mean I don't deserve family time, or that I can't go places because I'm afraid people might ask to surrender animals to me.

I am not a miracle worker, I am not a problem solver. I do the very best I can with the same amount of time in a day as everyone else.

This is not just a 1 or 2 time problem, this is happening on a daily basis.

The NEW rule, if you just "show up" to my home demanding help, you won't even be added to the waitlist.

We have some exciting news at Smiley's Rescues!

We are renting out a store front in Fertile on the main drag ❤️

We will have some of our adoptable Cats and dogs at this location and will be hosting various events (kid & adult-based) and some more volunteer opportunities.

We do not have open hours yet but will post more soon ❤️

We are working incredibly hard in the Quarantine Facility, we have no lost anymore to Distemper but we did have 2 kittens develop secondary URI's. Our medical bills are stacking up.

Tiny Kittens (F***l Test, Wellnesses, Antibiotics): $120

Rhonda (Feeding Tube Placement): $269

Ferals (Spay/neuter Services): $200

It is a scary time in rescue, we need help, we cannot take in more cats if we can't afford the ones in our care.

We worked with a good samaritan to live trap a spicy feral this Halloween!

We were able to squeeze her in to get spayed today!

Huge thankyou to our vet staff ❤️ 🙏
