If you’re wondering if ground work matters…it does! This is maybe my 3rd time loping Xayne. Mainly working on the gas and brake, asking him to take responsibility for his feet (consistent cadence) and following the fence. The fact that he’s so calm, collected, consistent, and soft enough to let me steer him around this pattern for the video is completely due to weeks of ground work. It’s amazing how quickly we’re making progress under saddle now that a proper foundation has been laid!
