- Looking for individual families committed to ongoing training and socialization to keep them on track to being their very bests

**As a giant breed, we will be selecting Foster-To-Adopt families so that we can complete their neuters and gastropexy when they reach 1 year old. FTA families must live within reasonable commute to our primary vet in Elizabethtown, PA, as we will continue to provide for their medical needs until their adoptions are finalized after being altered. Their adoption fees will be $795, with a portion paid at the time they join their FTA homes and the remainder at finalization.

Meet Jake…
This handsome two-year-old is a smart dog with lots of good traits. Jake loved the children in the home that he was raised in. We were told that Jake played nicely with some of the family members' dogs, including a husky and a golden retriever. He is a friendly big boy that easily gets excited and will try to jump up at you when first greeting you. Due to a change in work schedules at the home, Jake was not getting the attention and training he needed.

He takes his treats gently, crate-trained, has had some obedience training and seems eager to please. Like many GSD’s, he’s not a fan of going to the Vet but, something definitely that can be addressed. In the right home with a family who continues to take him to training and socialize him with clear direction, we know that Jake will shine.

This pittiepotamus is Sheldon. He is a big-headed boy with the softest, velvety coat and a sweet, gentle soul to match. He will "leaf" you laughing at his playing with toys, and will drill a stare through you until he gets him some cuddles. The boy is persistent for lovin'. "Fall" in love with his photos on our website and scooch over on the couch to make room for Sheldon.

Flower 🌸 is a beautiful 5-year-old border collie mix who is blooming every day just like her name implies. Flower was a bit shy at fist. It's no secret that the shelter isn't a fun place for a pet to be... all the loud noises and strange smells.

But once Flower knew that we were her friends and wanted to help her find a family of her own, she showed her true self! Flower is a wiggly, soft, loving dog who is ready to give her whole heart to her future person. She has quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite, and you won't have to meet her for long to see why!

This little girl was sitting at a shelter in a stainless steel cubby, absolutely terrified, not even wanting to make eye contact. Fast forward to now…she’s so happy!! She loves other animals and children. Jemma is around 8 weeks old and 11lbs. She is doing amazing with house training and is just a great little(chunky) pup.

OK people, here's your Tuesday eye candy. Turtle is an 18 week old German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix puppy. He is insanely intelligent, sweet and active. Imagine Einstein crossed with a friendly lap dog that likes to gnaw on things (shoes, hands, etc) and you have it.

Turtle is not a dog for the lazy or the marshmallows of the world. He needs a fenced yard, a dog friend and someone to rein in his plans for world domination. Aside from the aforementioned tendency to play hard and scheme, he is also a very good boy who is eager to please, quick to learn things and who is very capable of growing up to be the best. dog. ever. This is a future video star doing fun things for the masses. He is going to be a very large dog and if you ask me if he will bark or shed, you are out of the running to adopt this dog.

What’s better than a full sized hound? A mini one!

It’s our pleasure to introduce you to Shaggy! Shaggy is a 1 year old male hound mix. He is a little timid to start when you meet him but after a short time he will be your best buddy! He is small in size but has legs for days! He weighs roughly 25 pounds. He is a very happy boy that loves toys and will bring all of them out of the toy box. Shaggy is your typical hound with endearing quirks. Shaggy is isn’t as confident as his sibling and would benefit from a K-9 sibling to show him the best parts of being a dog. When Shaggy arrived, he didn’t even know how to take a treat or do stairs. We have mastered both in no time! He is getting the hang of potty training, working on crate training, and is walking well on a leash.

Shaggy adores his humans and will stand right up like a gopher to get to his humans level. Due to his high prey drive we think it would be best if he didn’t go to a forever home with kitties. Kids are unknown but he met a few at an adoption event recently and seemed to do just fine. Benjamin is a ten week old Bloodhound/Golden Doodle mix. Benjamin is a big boy at 15 pounds who is a social butterfly. This guy loves everyone he meets and is quite intelligent. He is working on going potty outside and doing good. Benjamin would fit into any family as he is dog friendly, would love kids and doesn’t mind the kitty in the foster home.
