At some point in my past, I experienced nerve damage that left me with little to no feeling in my feet, but this only adds to my unique charm. The vet feels my nerve damage is stable, though someday I may need a consult with a veterinary neurologist to ensure I stay my happiest self. Due to this and my FIV-positive status, I need a safe, indoor-only home where I can thrive under your care. Though I may be shy at first, my sweetness and friendliness blossom quickly, like a flower opening to the sun. I adore quiet cuddles and delight in playful moments, bringing joy to every interaction. With proper introductions to other cats, I would fit in nicely, sharing my gentle spirit with furry friends. My FIV-positive status doesn’t hold me back—with regular veterinary care, good nutrition, and a stress-free environment, I’m ready to live a long, happy life. FIV is not transmissible to humans or other species and is mainly spread through deep bite wounds, making me a wonderful companion for a peaceful household. I’m gentle, and my love knows no bounds. Make an impact. Our shelter pets and Hoosier veterans need your support!

Join us for Crossroads Corvettes on Saturday, September 13th for this second annual All Corvette Car Show, rain or shine, at Memorial Park in Lebanon, Indiana to support our Pets Healing Vets Program.

Founded on the hope of saving both animal and human lives, HSHC’s Pets Healing Vets Program pairs homeless shelter pets with Hoosier veterans struggling with PTSD or a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Through this program we have removed every financial barrier to pet ownership for our participating veterans, so that they can experience first hand the healing power of our pets.

From food supplies to annual checkups, routine vaccinations to emergency surgeries, and even end of life care, this program covers 100% of per and post adoption pet expenses for the life of the pet.

We are so proud to have paired over 100 Hoosier veterans with our shelter pets since 2012, but we need your help if we want to continue providing life saving support to this community.

There are 23 cities in the U.S. named Paris, but the most beautiful Paris of all is waiting at Hamilton Humane. 💖

She was found near 126th & Hazel Dell, and while no one came looking for Paris, it’s hard to believe she’s been on her own for long. This five-year-old Siamese mix is as affectionate as they come. From the moment she arrived, she’s been rolling over for pets, leaning in for chin scratches, and purring like she’s known you forever.

She’s equal parts grace and heart-melter. One staff member called her “beautiful” so many times, Paris probably thinks it’s her real name.

Meet Eliza Doolittle!

Meet Eiza Dolittle. This sweet little girl was a Mama and both of her boys have been adopted . She is named Eliza Dolittle because we knew this girl would have an amazing transformation…and she did! She went from very shy and skittish to super cuddly and sweet. Her hair has gotten so much softer and thicker. She is just beautiful. And if you want a cat that will forever look like a kitten, this is your girl!! She is so petite and weighs only a little over 7 pounds. She is calm but LOVES to talk!
