Three Carmel High School juniors are trying to raise $50,000 for Pets Healing Vets as part of a project for DECA, a competitive business club. The Carmel DECA chapter is the largest in Indiana and the ninth largest in the world. Members are required to reach out to an organization and help resolve

We are so proud to partner with the Hamilton County Community Foundation to strengthen our community though our Pets Healing Vets program.

In a staggering statistic, 22 military veterans commit su***de every day and approximately 2.7 million animals are euthanized in shelters every year. Pets Healing Vets was created to save lives at both ends of the leash, and through this grant, we will continue to use the healing power of pets to pair shelter dogs and cats with qualifying Hamilton County and Hoosier veterans suffering from PTSD or traumatic brain injury at no cost to the veteran for the life of the pet!

As we look back on this year's greatest stories of rescue and redemption, we are once again reminded of the true healing power of adoption - both for our animals and the humans who take them in.

To allow our staff time with their families for the holiday, we will be closed for adoptions today.

We will be open for admissions from 8am-12pm. After these hours, if you have found a stray animal or have other concerns, please call your local law enforcement non-emergency number.

Adoptions hours will close at 2:00pm for the day as we celebrate the Tinsel & Tails Event.

👉 Intakes & Donations: Open from 8 AM – 3 PM.
👉 Adoption Hours: 12 PM - 2 PM.
👉 Normal Hours resume Friday, November 21st.

🐾🇺🇸 Veteran's Day marked the beginning of a lifelong friendship for our new Pets Healing Vets Pair 🐾🇺🇸

We’re thrilled to announce a new PHV duo: Joshua and Sonny! Joshua is a Navy Veteran of 5 years who was looking for a companion who could bring some love and joy into his life- and thats where Sonny came in. The playful 1-year-old tabby has already settled in nicely in his new family, and we couldn't be more happy for them.

Healing companionships like Joshua and Sonny's are made possible by our friends at 849foundation, Canine Cloud Nine, CSCI Consulting, MISO Energy, Noah's Animal Hospital & 24 Hour Emergency Center, Paws & Play Dog Resort & Training Center, Tractor Supply Co.

MISO does so much for us as a proud supporter of Pets Healing Vets (PHV), and we are so grateful to them for hosting this panel discussion about the program. We also want to give a special thank you to our PHV Veterans, John Iverson, Amber Mertens, and Seneca Harbin, for sharing their stories at this event. ❤️

This Veterans Day, we express our gratitude to the men, women, and four-legged soldiers who have served. We are especially grateful for the veterans who have found comfort, healing, and companionship through our Pets Healing Vets program and the shelter animals they brought home. 🐾🇺🇸

We had a great time at the Pets Healing Vets benefit ride this past Saturday! A huge THANK YOU to Rolling Thunder Indiana Chapter 1, Pendleton American Legion - Post 117, The Tempos, the riders, and our volunteers for all of the hard work and support it took to make the benefit ride a success. 🐾🇺🇸
