Since December 7th, this brave guy has been fighting an uphill battle against septic arthritis in his elbow, a condition that’s made it nearly impossible for him to walk without pain. Add in the long road to overcoming a stubborn infection, and it’s been nothing short of a challenge.

But thanks to the unwavering dedication of the incredible teams in Emergency, Internal Medicine, Physical Rehabilitation, and Critical Care, Chance is making remarkable progress.

Though he's still hospitalized as he builds his strength, there's no question that he's already touched countless hearts. Under the expert care of Dr. Matthew Price, Chance has become a true favorite at AVCC- his tail never stops wagging, and his gentleman’s smile lights up the room, even on the toughest days.

Please join us in sending all the love, encouragement, and healing energy Chance’s way, so that he can soon return to the people who love him more than words can say. He’s earned this victory, and he’s so close to the finish line.

We do cool things here. 🤓

Dr. Katie Lehman, double board certified in small animal and equine radiology, performed a lung biopsy on a cat, giving us the ability to send a piece of the mass off to be tested for further information.

As you view the video, you can see her delicately inserting her instrument into the lung mass - she retracts the sample and an assistant applies it to a microscope slide. 🔬

We came in for an emergency visit after our dog ingested something toxic, and you all made a scary situation feel under control. The kindness of everyone was flooring and we could not have had a better experience. Thankful you all were here to help my dog!
