So many horse owners get swept up in the now and forget that their partner will one day be old. I am so blessed to have boarders that respect their horses enough to give them the dignified retirement they deserve. I love spoiling the old ones at my farm. They are worth their weight in gold. 😊

When you buy a horse, plan to take care of it in its old age. Use it in such a way that the horse remains healthy in the long term. And when he grows old, see in him the one who was in his full strength, love him even more than in his youth.

2022 show season is a wrap.
I am so proud of my homebred Cambridge. She really stepped up to the plate and just proved her weight in gold. Thank Lisa Dean for the great photos!

Today was a busy day prepping for the cold weather moving in. All the horses got a warm breakfast mash with added electrolytes, a good bath so they would be dry and clean for blankets tonight and a little extra hay. It’s always hard when we have big weather changes but with a little planning hopefully everyone won’t even notice.
