Stray HELP Our mission is to rescue and care for stray and homeless animals while providing humane education to We work with members of the community to help cats in need.

We conduct trap/neuter/return and place projects and train home and business owners on how to properly care for free-roaming cats on their property and in their neighborhoods. We focus in southern Dutchess County but help people throughout Dutchess, Putnam, and Orange counties by connecting them with local rescues that can work with them, loaning equipment, coordinating spay/neuter clinics and off

Looking to get involved in helping cats in 2025? Stray HELP is looking to welcome new volunteers!

Our current needs, especially, are to care for cats and kittens at the Poughkeepsie Petsmart Adoption Center while they wait for their forever home. We have been the in-store partner for eight years now, and love working with them!

We'll partner you up with a seasoned volunteer to show you the ropes.

Hi Kim, it’s Robin. Just giving you an update on Marie and Sophie a.k.a. Madison and Avery. I sent you a few pictures. The kitties now have the run of the house and are a delight. As you see Marie is a lap kitty and she loves my my lap. Sophie still a little nervous we can’t pick her up but she does enjoy sleeping with me cuddling up to me and getting petted. She progresses every day. We have a lifetime so I am not rushing her. They both get along so well with our older kitty, and the three of them really do enjoy each other. I’m still trying to get a nice family picture. It’s not easy keeping these girls down. Just want you to know. They are truly a perfect fit for us. Thank you.

Our kick toy carrots from Jeneric Bags are a huge hit! We have plenty of them at Trinity Episcopal Church - Fishkill, NY today.

We know it might be too much to ask, but we're going to ask anyway! Cubby (tiger) is a high energy young cat, that just loves kittens. He is really good with them, and this video shows how much Prim (young teen) appreciates his affection in return! Let's put it out to the universe that these two wonderful felines find a home together. Home sweet home?! Please share!
