Friday Fun Fact:
Wild turkeys are incredible athletes — they can sprint up to 20 miles per hour and even take flight at 55 miles per hour!

Here at the shop, Mandi and Heidi are busy finishing up a gorgeous turkey mount, capturing every feather in perfect detail.

In the 1800s, taxidermy wasn’t just for hunters — it was a fashion statement! People wore hats decorated with small preserved birds and animals. Definitely not today’s kind of “accessory,” but it made an impression. 😅

Fourteen years ago today, we lost a truly incredible man — Steve Favour, the heart and founder of Signature Taxidermy. Steve was a loving husband, a devoted father, and grandfather. He was avid outdoorsman who felt most at home in the mountains and out in nature.

Signature Taxidermy started with his dream and his hands, and every piece of work that left the shop carried his pride and craftsmanship. Even though he’s no longer with us, his spirit is still felt in the shop every single day.

We miss his laughter, his stories, and the way he poured his heart into his family and his work. Today, we honor his memory and the legacy he left behind. ❤️
