Mallory Chambers Biography
Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and raised in Flanders, New Jersey, Mallory began riding horses at seven years of age, and was introduced to dressage at age twelve, when she became a working student for Heather Mason, a Grand Prix Dressage Rider, a United States Dressage Federation Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist, as well as an “S” United States Equestrian Dressage Judge. In September of 2013, Mallory purchased Gallant from Heather as her up and coming Grand Prix horse. Mallory and Gallant have successfully competed First Level through Prix St. George at numerous local and Regional Championship shows, including the U.S. Dressage Finals in Kentucky. In November of 2014, Mallory began riding Urithmic, KWPN (owned by Heather Mason) and together “Uri” and Mallory have successfully competed Fourth Level through Grand Prix, including representing Region 1 at the 2016 North American Junior/Young Rider Championships, earning the Team Gold medal and placing 8th individually in the Musical Freestyle. In addition, Uri and Mallory were Champions at the 2016 Region 8 Junior/Young Rider Prix St. George Championship. The pair went on to compete in the Brentina Cup division at the 2017 Dressage Festival of Champions, placing 5th overall. As a rider, Mallory has obtained the United States Dressage Federation Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals, the United States Dressage Federation Silver Musical Freestyle Bar, as well as the Eastern States Dressage and Combined Training Association Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals. In May of 2018, Mallory graduated Summa Cum Laude from Centenary University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Equine Science with a Minor in Biology. Her goal as a rider and competitor is to understand each individual horse and bring out the brilliance each one has to offer.
Mallory began competing as a professional in 2017 at the age of 21 and launched her own business is 2018. She has been teaching since 2013 and has taught numerous students from beginner to advanced. Mallory has started and trained many young horses and worked with difficult and quirky horses.
