What sets my care apart from others is the knowledge and skills I have gained throughout 15 years of working in the veterinary field. I am trained in CPR & I am Fear-free certified, so anxious pets are no problem.

I am grateful for all of my Fast&Furriest clients & crew that keep me busy & booked up taking care of pets in need when I am not in the clinic.
Being mobile means I am on the road the majority of the time when I am not directly working with pets in need. Appointment times can be variable based on previous appointments, pet behavior & traffic, but I will always send a message to communicate this & my estimated arrival time.

Don’t forget our feline friends need nail care throughout their lives just as our pups do! Scratching boards and posts are great for allowing your cat to scratch and stretch, but overall they do not keep the nails as short as they should be. You should regularly check your kitties claws to ensure they’re not overgrown or curling over. With overgrown nails, they can curve and grow into the paw pads which is painful and can cause mobility issues.
If your cat gets their claws caught in clothing, carpet or bedding, it’s a sign their nails are too long!

It's not unusual for older cats to develop the “thick claw problem.” As cats age, their claws grow more rapidly than before and they're harder to shed. Problems begin when claws aren't trimmed often enough or the cat doesn't use an adequate scratching surface often enough.

When a cat’s claws start to thicken, that’s usually due to the fact that those claws are no longer shedding their outer sheaths. As a cat's claws grow, they get replaced from the inside out. The dull outer sheath is shed to be replaced by the razor-sharp claw underneath. This is a continuous process that's helped along by your cat's scratching behavior. Cats claw things to clean their claws and help shed those sheaths.

The two things you can do to help are to regularly trim your cat’s nails, including the thicker ones, frequently, and make sure they have plenty of scratching surfaces that they actually use.

“Ha! I was recently called 'lazy' as I wouldn't hold down a stressed kitten to shave all over with extreme matting.
Against my morals, increasing stress levels, especially for a cats first groom can not only cause health issues, have a higher risk of injury, but cause that kitten to fear grooming. I advised to clip under sedation the first time and work with the kitten for prevention. Owner advised against. I was not the groomer for him.

The nature of my business is to provide the best possible experience for all involved; low-stress care for your pet in the comfort of their own home and convenience for you as the pet parent! I am a licensed veterinary technician with over 15 years experience and I am fear-free certified. I use fear-free techniques in all of my services and work WITH your pets to ensure a positive outcome. I provide services in your home, garage or secured yard & ask pet parents to be involved at the front end of their furbaby offering positive reinforcement such as treats, petting or talking for a distraction while I work. If your pet has allergies or dietary restrictions, please let me know at the time of the appointment and have some tasty treats handy!
For kitties, I ask they be secured in a small room or carrier prior to my arrival to ensure we have no escapees!

Depending on your pet’s behavior and response, some appointments take longer than others. I schedule all appointments with a half-hour window of arrival time in case traffic occurs or previous appointments take longer than expected. I will always send a text message once I am in route with an ETA so everyone is prepared. I DEPEND on honesty in regards to your pet’s behavior and history, not only for safety but to schedule accordingly!

I am currently booking out about a week in advance, but often have last-minute cancellations and rescheduling that occurs. I understand that situations arise in which you must cancel or reschedule your appointment. In such situations, I respectfully request that at least 24 hours notice is provided. ‼️Effective immediately, any cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice will be required to prepay for services before future appointments are booked.‼️

Can you hear your dog coming by the tap-tap-tap of their nails on the floor? Have they accidentally scratched you when they jump up to play? Did your kitty rip their claws through your favorite sweater? Sounds like it’s time for a nail trim! Trimming your pet’s nails is an essential grooming practice for all pet parents.

Long toenails don't just look bad—they can impact your fur-baby’s health and happiness. In fact, ignoring your pet’s nails could lead to a lifetime of pain and costly problems for you as the pet owner.

While the idea of trimming your pet’s nails may seem scary, going to the groomer or veterinary clinic for nail trims can be stressful and inconvenient. Not to worry! I can come to you, in the comfort of your home, and set you and your pet up for successful nail trimming!

Frequency of nail trimming for all pets is different! Some pups with longer, overgrown or thicker nails may need trims every few weeks for a period of time; I regularly visit some pups every 2 weeks. Other pups may need routine nail ‘maintenance’ which is usually every 4-6 weeks. For our kitties, I usually recommend every 6-12 weeks depending on growth.

With the chaos of what we call life, I advise all of my clients to set up reoccurring appointments for nail trims. This allows progress to be made with not only your pet’s nails, but also their behavior!

To keep everyone safe, please let us know if your pup’s have recently visited doggy-daycare, boarding, the grooming salon or the veterinary clinic. If dogs are experiencing symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, legthargy, decreased appetite, and/or nasal/ocular discharge it is best to quarantine for a month.
