Seagypsy Portuguese Water Dogs Selective breeder of Portuguese Water Dogs Seagypsy Portuguese Water Dogs has been in existence since 1993. We breed for quality, not quantity.

We are a small hobby breeder in Safety Harbor FL (near Tampa) and have produced only seven litters in these 21 years. We carefully and lovingly select our breedings, and consider each and every one of our pups part of our family. Our adult PWDs (typically from 3-5 in our home at any time) are our "children". We do not have kennel dogs, nor do we breed to make money. We breed Portuguese Water Dogs

because very simply we adore this breed and want to share our wonderful dogs with other loving families. We have always honored our dog's histories by carefully matching characteristics and temperaments that have come downline from the early breeders in the US who strove to produce heathly beautiful pups and perpetuate this magnificent breed. Portuguese Water Dogs, sadly, had almost disappeared in their native environment in the Algarve of Portugal. Careful attention is given to breeding decisions with regard to temperament, conformation and breed type. All of our breeding bi***es and dogs are fully health tested according to the requirements of the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America, the breed's parent club. The PWDCA, as well as the Portuguese Water Dog Foundation (PWDF) has an international reputation for creating and upholding standards of health and genetic testing, working hand in hand with renowned researchers and veterinary institutions.
