UPDATE!.. With a sadden heart I have to post that "Windsor" had to be euthanized. I agreed to emergency care because we hadn't heard from the owners and the dog needed help. Unfortunately the maggots traveled in through the ear canal into his nasal cavity and started to attack his eye socket. On top of that he had a tumor in his larynx. The doctor called and felt it was best to let him go due to all the unfortunate damage. I have seen alot of terrible things being involved in rescue but this has really affected me. I'm so glad I was able to try and get him help but the thought of him laying in that gutter helpless is unforgettable.. I'm so sorry little guy.. I 'm glad you have peace now. .. If anyone would like to donate towards his care the bill is attached. Safety Net had a credit that was used and we paid the remaining balance. I have a PayPal account [email protected] or a mailed check would also work if anyone has an interest in helping. Thank you again for the kind words and your support ๐๐
๐ฅSafety Net Sanctuary was just called to assist with this poor pup found in a gutter at the corner of Locust and Windsor Street in the City of Reading. His has a bite wound to the back of his neck and half of his ear is biten off and full of maggots. Luckily 2 kids saw him and after a few phone calls to other organizations they were given my number. We are at Blue Pearle at this time. Dog is microchipped. First contact number is disconnected.. second one went right to voicemail. The hospital and myself are waiting for a reply.
