I know I've not kept up very well with this page .I have been so busy working, trying to find resources and rescues for poor babies. I am hopeful that I've found rescue for the 25 that are down the road. I have taken in 2 more babies myself that were found in Flemingsburg. The one I took in today is weezing. I gave her a dawn bath, dewormer and started her on some left over antibiotics from last week. I got some Pedialyte into her with a syringe. She's in a room with a vaporizer and heating pad. She was covered in fleas, dirt and blood. She calmed down and settled in. She has perked up a bit and is eating wet food. I also saw her sip some water, so I'm hopeful. Rescue work is hard, but it's also heart warming.

Tomorrow, we have 2 new kitties joining us. One was found outside and she's declawed. We couldn't just let her be outside being declawed. That's just cruel. Hopefully since someone saw fit to declaw, they'd have at least also spayed, if not, we'll be getting her in quickly. The other newcomer is a pregnant momma. Wish me luck, I'm not sure how far along she is but cats are not pregnant for long. If anyone can help out with food or supplies or vet bills, please and thank you. Fingers crossed for a smooth introduction for everyone. We always quarantine newcomers for their benefit, and everyone else as well. It'll be a bit more tricky with 2 at once.

Our new friend. Very sweet kitty. Can't get a good enough look to determine boy or girl. I didn't want to upset him more. Now he's relaxed more, I'll attempt a look lol
Driving home this weekend, we came up on a cat sitting in the road on a road with no businesses or homes. I stopped to see if it was hurt, and it started crying at me before I even got close. It seems okay other than it was starving. I got the feeling it was dumped. It's safe now at our sanctuary but I can't pretend that I'm just not continually disgusted with the human race!

So I have come across 4 possibly 5 kittens at the end of our driveway. I know there is like 3 grown cats running around close by. I've seen 2 eating at our house and the other I've seen while leaving home. I've tried to get close to them but they will not allow it. Even the kittens. I'm really worried that this is going to become a problem. I don't have to traps to get them fixed. I'm not sure how to proceed. I've gone out to try to find the kittens but no luck. There's a lot of open and trees around us, so it's harder to find them than you think. I also know this is going to multiply quickly. All of mine are spayed or neutered so I know mine are not a contributing factor. Any ideas or know where I can borrow traps?

Kitty love. Prince loves everyone. He will cuddle up with anyone who will allow it. He's such a lover boy. Willow isn't like the other kitties. She's very slow, she doesn't see well and getting around is rough for her but he seems to know she has special needs and he's so careful and gentle with her.

My sun bathing beauties. I haven't been very good at posting lately. I've been working lately a lot. I have a cat addiction and the cost has made me take on more hours away from them lol. Add to that the time I put in to make sure they are well, and our environment is clean and safe. It's a lot. But it's something I believe in and love, so I'll continue on. My commitment to the cats is strong.

Calm cuddles before the craziness that is flea meds day! It's so fun! Note the sarcasm 😅 They are usually mad at me for the rest of the day. This is Black Jack the Heathen. He's one of the kittens found on the road in Flemingsburg that I bottle fed. He and his brother are due to go back to the vet soon for follow up to see about eye surgery. They both may lose an eye. Other than that, they are happy, playful and cuddly. He likes shoulder lounging.

Elvira is doing better. She has had a rough go of it. On the breeding farm she was in a room alone with no fresh air and no socializing, and very dirty. Poor girl is fighting this respiratory thing hard and we've gone to something stronger than amoxicillin. It seems to be working. Started her on doxycycline this Tuesday and she's more active, has lots of drainage, but still not eating as much as I'd like. Any improvement is exciting though. I've been so worried about her.

I got Blossom when she was homeless.
She has since been fully vetted, fixed and is ready to find her fur-ever home!!
Blossom would do best in a home where she is the only cat or shared her home with a few other cats. She can become overwhelmed with a lot of cats. Blossom isn't aggressive but shows distress and hisses when too many surround her. Please reach out if you're interested.

She's settling in well. She made some friends and got comfortable. I think she'll do fine. Side note, she's a polydactal cat. Hopefully I can get a picture of her feet. They are huge! And so cute. Okay for real, I'm full. I wish I could but I can't take on anymore. Not only for financial but caring for everyone, and keeping all of our homes clean and cared for is a full time job in itself. I love caring for everyone but it gets overwhelming. I'm looking into maybe getting a sanctuary status, so if anyone knows anything about how to go about it, please let me know. I love all my fur babies and want to be able to continue giving them proper care.

Took in one of the main c***s from the Amish breeder farm on Tuesday. She's in pretty rough shape right now. She's so skinny. But I've got her on antibiotics, shaved all her mats, and started giving her good food. No more breeding, she's now spayed and ready to enjoy her life. She follows me everywhere. I'm thinking her name should be Elvira or Morticia. I'm not sure yet.

Please consider helping us out. We are currently up to 32 cats and anything big or small helps out so very much. Most of the cats we take in are in need of medical care and if the food needs are met, we can focus our finances on the medical.
