Pets in Peril is an outreach program serving the Greater Flint area. Our program is 100% donation based. This area has a very high rate of at-risk pets.

We are a volunteer based organization that provides assistance to pets and pet owners that live within the City of Flint. Our goal is to educate owners on pet care, the importance of spay/neutering their pets, to show the importance of the pets in their lives, and sometimes even referral to human services for people needs. PIP volunteers provide food, straw, dog houses, and occasional spay and neu

ter services to “owned” animals within the city of Flint. Sometimes requests come from families wanting to keep their pets while in financial distress; pet food and supplies are given to these families to help them get through the hard financial times so they can keep their pets. Other times, tips from the community are received for investigation. PIP volunteers rely on donations from the public to help these animals be as comfortable as possible in their given situations. We said goodby to one of the most memorable rescues. Following him from one place after another-- GC Animal Control, Divine Canine, and Beyond Basics Dog Care. all who molded his new life ....til finally he was adopted to a home who gave us all the good feelings...human love, love of cats...love of strangers we didnt think possible. We saw an awesome turnaround we will never forget. He had his own FB page " BOOZE Loves Jolly balls". and his paw prints are on all our hearts...and in my upcoming book "SPEAK!" Edith Campbell

We've been completely out of litter for several weeks now, but many of you responded! We now have enough for several weeks. Thank you so much!!! Last week, we were able to provide food to 40 dogs and 45 cats. We also were able to provide straw, flea preventative, dog toys, and cat toys. Your donations of both food and money make our efforts possible. Here are some pictures of our recent clients.

Last week, we were able to provide 20 families with some dog food and cat food to help them make it through the next month. We also were able to provide straw and flea meds to those who needed it. Below are some of the pets we were able to help. Our greatest needs right now are dry dog food, litter(any kind), and dog igloos.
