Thanos is an amazing boy who can’t wait to find a loving forever family to call his own. He’s 3 years old, 79 pounds, and dog friendly with proper intros. He’s a spunky, silly guy who is eager to learn. He’s very food motivated and listens well. He does know ‘sit’ and we have a feeling that he’d pick up on other commands in no time!

He has the sweetest eyes, best smile, and cutest white toofers. Due to his size and energy levels, he would do best with older children.

MILES NEEDS OUR HELP!! 💔

This handsome, amazing boy is in need of a new home and we are doing everything in our power to keep him from having to step paw inside the shelter again! The family that adopted him absolutely loves him, but he has decided that he does not want to share his space or his home with another dog. They are devastated that they are unable to keep him, so please keep the comments positive.

Miles is about 1 to 1.5 years old and 48 pounds. He absolutely loves people and is such a good boy. He’s goofy, playful, and full of personality. He also has a chill, snuggly side so he’s basically the best of both worlds! He does need to be the only dog in the home but he lived with a cat in the past and did well. Slow and proper intros will still be very important with any new cat he meets.

Miles loves to explore, play with toys, and snooze on the couch. He is a spunky boy who would do best with older children (we suggest 8 and up).

BEETLE’S DAY TRIP! 🪲🐾

“Day trip with Beetle…

🐾 hopped right up in the truck and sat very well while we drove around.
🐾 ate with manners! There were treats in the cup holder but he didn’t take them until I picked them up and offered them to him. We shared chicken nuggets and a burger… literally shared… I’d break the nugget to make sure it was cool and take the first bite myself, he was fine with that, not greedy at all.
🐾 super easy walker, only pulled when he saw other dogs at the shelter (we didn’t walk anywhere else)
🐾 knows several tricks… sit, shake, speak, twirl.
🐾 after his belly was full and he saw this was a good thing, his eyes literally got heavy, he fought sleep like a toddler but finally gave in and curled up in the seat and snored.
🐾 pretty sure he is potty trained.

This guy is just too good to stay there, I know they’re all special but this guy is truly a gem!! Let’s get him a GOOD home!!” -Friede, volunteer

Beetle is 5 years old, 63 pounds, and dog friendly with proper intros. He loves people and would do well with kids of all ages. He does need to go to a cat-free home. He’s an amazing dog that anyone would be incredibly lucky to have as part of the family. ♥️

MEET GASTON! 🖤🖤🖤

This handsome, floppy-eared prince is 2 years old, 48 pounds, and sweet as can be! He’s nervous at first and takes a little bit to warm up, but once he feels comfortable, he wants to play and soak up all the attention. He’s scared of loud noises, so he’d be most comfortable in a home with older children.

He does require a meet and greet with any other dogs in the home to make sure they’re a good fit for one another. He’s a spunky boy looking for an active family that will give him plenty of exercise. He’s young and still working on his manners, so he’s looking for a patient adopter.

OUR OUTREACH PANTRY IS ALMOST OUT OF DRY DOG AND CAT FOOD!

As a municipal shelter, we try to help out the members of our community as much as we possibly can. We understand that things happen, and sometimes you just need a little extra help. We ask that you only come up to our shelter for free food if you absolutely need it and have no other method of obtaining it.

If anyone would like to donate dry or wet dog and/or cat food to our shelter for outreach, that would be greatly appreciated.

** Opened bags of food/treats are accepted! **

All donations can be placed in the donation bin at the front of our building by our front doors or dropped off during open business hours.

🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

Our shelter is filling up again - and fast! We are quickly approaching overcapacity status and are seeking support from our community. With the extreme weather conditions that we have been experiencing, there is an increased need to have space secured for strays and animals that do not have proper food, water, and shelter.

What can you do to help?

🐾 ADOPT: If you’ve been thinking about adopting a new member of the family, now is the time! We have so many amazing dogs and cats waiting to find a loving forever family.

🐾 VOLUNTEER: The more volunteers we have, the more time animals get outside of their kennels. This is incredibly important when it comes to their mental health and ability to cope with shelter life.

🐾 FOSTER: We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again - fostering saves lives! Whether it’s short-term or long-term, getting struggling animals out of the shelter and into a loving home exponentially reduces their stress levels and helps them find their forever homes much more quickly.

🐾 SHARE POSTS: Sharing, liking, and commenting on our posts is huge and makes a bigger difference than you might realize. The simple act of sharing a dog or cat to your social media may just be the reason they get adopted. You can still be their hero even if you can’t adopt!

Look at that precious face and those spotty boots! 😍

Zeus is absolutely adorable… truly a heart thief! He’s still very young - only about one year old and 52 pounds. He’s a little more on the timid side and would prefer a calmer household. He’s easily spooked, so he needs a patient family that will help him build his confidence. Poor guy hasn’t been treated the best by humans in the past. 💔

Zeus doesn’t show much interest in other dogs, so with slow and proper introductions, we think he will do well. He would do best with older children who respect his space and give him the time that he needs to come out of his shell.

He’s very food motivated (he’s a skinny little guy so we’re not surprised). He loves affection once he feels comfortable with you and dreams of being your lap dog where he can feel safe and cozy. He’s very happy when he gets to spend time with human friends.

“HI, I’M WALLIE!! 🐾

I am a happy, good man who somehow ended up here at the shelter with no home or family to call my own… crazy, I know. I’m spunky and sweet and I have a great smile! My friends describe me as silly, energetic, and smart. They say that I’m always making them laugh with my goofy personality. I love to play, explore my surroundings, and have conversations with humans. (I make dinosaur noises when I want a treat. 🦖)

I’m about 3 years old and 66 pounds… a perfect size. Everybody loves my chunky butt and they’re always saying things about my snoot… it is pretty squishable. I am selective with my dog friends, so I would need to meet any other canine friends living in the home with you. Since I’m still working on my manners, I would be most comfortable with older children.

I’m looking for an active family that is always down to play with me, give me love, and provide me delicious snacks. I like to maintain my thick boy status.

Anyway, I’ll be here waiting to meet you! We’re closed the next 3 days so if you can meet me today, that would be amazing!
