3's a crowd, know how to manage it. Dogs can learn to co- exist with guidance from a strong leader.
Teaching a dog to navigate something new. Swimming is second nature, but entering and exiting a pool is not. We showed puppy Hercules how to use the steps and helped him figure it out when unsure. Plus, doing it himself creates confidence. Everything you do with your dog affects them.
Training is hard work, don't forget to let your dog be a dog. It's a reward just like treats!
Creating distractions with other dogs, both dogs benefit from learning. Puppy to adult everybody gets a chance to practice good behaviors. And learn from mistakes because we all make them!
Puppies learn to be respectful of food. This prevents things like counter surfing, stealing from hands or plates, fighting with other dogs and begging. Hercules is practicing self control at 13 weeks! Good boy.
Teaching a young puppy to respect thresholds could save his life. Hercules is learning that just because the door is open isn't an invitation to move through it. We start with his crate and work on each threshold he encounters.
Welcome Hercules. He turns 4 months old this week and has been with us almost 2 weeks. He's learning how life works and what is expected of him. This is him taking his first structured walk after learning the leash.
