Finished this build and these spurs will last a lifetime! All stainless steel bands, shanks , hangers, rowels and pins. Only mild steel is buttons…. Jewelers bronze logo and horse!!

Some of my favorite lettering ! The challenge is to have clean soldering, I only do hard solder which means higher heat soldering! And each time you heat it gets harder!

Home from The Best Little Derby in The West !!!
What a great Show !!
So proud of my non pro riders !!
Kathy Creighton-Smith placed 8 th in the deep entered class, 112 riders !! Kathy showed her mare by Big Chex to Cash and out of her nice Smart Chic Olena mare!!! To bring home a check !

Shelagh/Russell Fox showed her gelding by Spooks Gotta Whiz in the Novice horse non pro and was 11th and 43rd
Also showed in Green Reiner 2 and placed 15th
Was a great finish for Shelagh, she has ventured to deep water and gets better every show !!

Arletta Priss Leslie showed her great little mate Katie Gun A Dunnit ,
She finished 3rd in the novice horse non pro level 2 and finished 4th in level 3 in Novice horse non pro..
NRHA non pro. 7th
NRHA intermediate 9th
NRHA limited 5th
Prime time 6th
Masters np. 3rd

Adding almost another $1000 to Katie’s and Priss’s lifetime earnings !!

These gals work hard and ride no matter the weather and put up with me pushing them past there comfort zone !!
Late nights early morning 100 plus riders per class and pressure that tests you !! Great job Ladies!!! Proud of each of you !!!!

ALFALFA DOESN’T MAKE HORSES HOT!
YOU ARE JUST USED TO RIDING LOW ENERGY HORSES! And riding once a week without warm up and expecting to have completely compliant horse , news flash the best horses that are athletes , need fuel and take work to turn into incredible partners.. I have fed high quality alfalfa my whole career along with grains and supplements and yes you should expect a bright eyed,energized animal that needs warmup but don’t hold that against the horse, just work a little harder and have patience, take time for good warmup …
