Hello All,

As the semester and this school year comes to a close Biology Club has some important reminders. First, we have vacant spots for leadership. The positions are: secretary, vice president, and treasurer. If you are looking for a role in leadership or expanding your resume holding an office in a club can help.

Second, attached below is a link to a survey about what events , meetings, and activities you would like to see Biology Club implement for the upcoming school year be mindful of COVID-19 restrictions). We encourage you to respond as we love interacting with you all.

Check this out! A cool effect seen in our local swamps. 🙂

Here's a magical photo of a 'swamp rainbow' taken up the highway at Caw Caw County Park in Ravenel, SC. This happens every winter as leaves begin to decompose in the water, releasing tannic acid. When the sunlight hits it, you see this gorgeous rainbow effect over the water. Beautiful!

Meeting Rescheduled!!

Don’t forget to come join us next Wednesday at 4:45 pm in LSF - L205 for our February meeting. We will be discussing upcoming events like our Valentine’s Day Bake Sale, Kayaking, Homecoming and more!

We will also be hosting a table at the Spring Involvement Fair TODAY from 1-4pm. We’d love for you to join us!

This is a reminder for those who are still interested and would like to attend the kayaking trip this Saturday. (10/20) The money is due October 17th and the cost is $25 we will be heading down to Murrells Inlet! If anyone is interested and needs a ride please email me ASAP but we need people going and signing up to consider this a trip

Hurricane Florence Initiative
Monday, October 15, 2018, in the University Center common area or lobby at 6:00 pm we will be packing ziplock bags with care products and essentials for our students that were affected by Hurricane Florence. This event will last until 8:00 pm and will require all hands on deck. As mentioned earlier even though the storm has long passed us, there are still surrounding counties that have been experiencing flooding, contaminated water issues and so much more. It is our duty to be there for our student body and provide them with the basic essentials during this time.

Animal Shelter- TBA
We are still trying to accommodate a date for everyone to attend. We are shooting for September 29th. If interested please send me an email ([email protected]) no later than Monday September 24th so I can notify the shelter a head count on who is coming

Welcome Fall Meeting- October 3rd
Snacks will be provided, also bring your creative mind because we are going to redo our bulletin board and discuss our October Activity. (So much fun :D)

Hey Bio club members!! I hope everyone is having a great summer and is looking forward to another great year with FMU Biology Club. FRESHMEN MOVE IN DAY is nearing and volunteers are greatly need!!!Move in day is Saturday, August 18th 8am-2pm. The DEADLINE to sign up is Monday, August 13th by 5pm. You can sign up for morning or afternoon shifts if you aren't able to attend the entire event.Food will be provided.Thanks in advanced. Your help is greatly appreciated!
