📢🐀 Boone County Animal Shelter in Burlington, KY just had a pretty large group of rats surrendered. They have to hold on to females during gestation, but they have over a dozen males that need to find homes asap! Looks like they are friendly, some shy ones, but beautiful babies nonetheless! Look at those colors 😍! And males are already grouped - no bonding process necessary.

Please call or visit the shelter - females are only currently available for potential rescue pulls.

Lola is a spayed female rabbit (definitely appears to be part lionhead!) who is needing placement ASAP. Her owner is going through something difficult personally and needs to move Lola to a new home.

In honor of our 10 year anniversary today, we are paying tribute to the one little chin who truly started it all.

While we actually acquired Misty much earlier, she is what led to our passion for chinchillas. The rescue went into incorporation on March 17th, 2014 after privately rescuing and rehoming small animals as an unofficial rescue.

We have had the pleasure of caring for thousands of animals over the last decade, and we hope to continue in the many years to come.

Good morning! A few days ago, we were walking outside our garage and found this little one sitting in the grass! After quite the capture, they are safely inside.

Our new friend appears to be a dumped pet who at least found themselves in the yard of a small animal rescue. However, we are just rebuilding and were not properly equipped to take on a rabbit.

Rabbit rescues everywhere are overwhelmed, and we didn’t have the heart to ask the county shelter for help, as shelters are also overwhelmed with surrenders right now. While dumping a pet outside to fend for themselves is never a good thing, we are glad they (we have not checked the gender as we are allowing some decompress time) were found safe and sound.

We will need to eventually get this little one spayed or neutered, as well as out of the small temporary cage they are currently in. We were only supplied for chinchillas.

It’s been one heck of a hiatus, but thank you for remaining patient with us! We welcomed two new chinchillas into the rescue today (names pending) that will be available for adoption over the next few months.

We are also working on updating our website - which should launch in the next week or so.

How precious are these two little boys? Link and Luke were surrendered to the rescue last night.

They will be held here for at least a couple of weeks, to assure they are healthy and to get an idea of their personalities. They will then be available for adoption. So far they seem to be quite friendly!
