Sharing info from Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas, please help pass on the info if you can. 🤗

Diamond Dachshund Rescue of Texas (DDRTX) is hosting their annual fundraiser, Dachtoberfest, on November 12th in Helotes at the Helotes Fair Grounds. It has been a tough year for rescues. We could use help spreading the word for this event.

DDRTX uses the funds for rehabilitating abandoned and abused dachshunds and dachshund mixes. We pull dachshunds from area shelters freeing up space for other dogs, accept owner surrenders, and of course rescue from the streets.

There will be vendors, food trucks, and great silent auction items-- but the main attraction is the dachshund races! There is more information on the event website at dachtoberfest.org or on their Facebook Event Page https://fb.me/e/2auBVYOrB . It's going to be a great event; we just need help getting the word out.

This has become a daily thing and even multiple times a day so here goes ANOTHER post about the phone lines 🤦🏻‍♀️

As of THIS moment we have one line out of three that is not working (contractor keeps cutting lines as they move on down the highway digging 🤦🏻‍♀️) (Trying to be understanding but this is going past ridiculous 😩)sooooo if you are calling in on line 3 at the moment (830)216-1111 that line is not working as of now, Please use 830-393-4600. Thank you , (again 🤦🏻‍♀️). This is about the 3rd - 4th time in less than a week and they still have a ways to dig 😱 , so heads up 🙄😢.

UPDATE: ALL LINES WORKING
Revert back to using 830-393-4600 and 830-216-1111. Thank you for your patience. When it comes to our phone lines we have learned that patience is a virtue that is DEFINITELY a gift from GOD and not everyone was blessed with it 😜.

Our main line 830-393-4600 (but may be busy when you call in if it’s in use, or it may just cut you off, please try back or call the 210-310-6056 for the meantime to reach us (this number is not the number to call when phones are all up and running, it is not monitored during the day and is normally only used for emergency calls but for now, it can be used if you are not able to get through on the other line(s)) is working at the moment but if you are calling in on the Metro number 830-216-1111, that line is not working at the moment. It rained this past weekend fortunately but unfortunately when it comes to our outside lines. Will update when back up. 😩

No surprise here AGAIN 🤦🏻‍♀️
Whoever is digging by CVS completely severed the entire phone cable while digging. Phones are completely out now. We have phones forwarding to the ER line (210) 310-6056. Guess what? It rained last night so two of our three lines are down (happens every time, takes at least 4 days for to come out to “fix” , when actually they put a bandaid on the problem and we get to call AGAIN the next time it rains (and love to spend 2 hours on the phone with them explaining and creating work tickets 🤦🏻‍♀️) so please (once again for the thousandth time in 20 years) call the Emergency line at 210-310-6056. As of right now the 830-393-4600 is still working, fingers crossed and prayers said 🙏🏼. Thank you

Guess what? The storm caused major phone issues all around 😬
We aren’t even able to forward the phone lines to a working number, yes it’s that bad 🤦🏻‍♀️. It’s affecting Floresville, Denton, Wimberly and Fredericksburg (just in case you are a detail person 😉).
