This girl is my volunteer puppy for Leaderdogs. She is showing excellent promise has started public access and doing well in following me and laying down wherever I go. Facts!!!

This sign is 100% correct for US federal law. Service dogs are trained to perform specific tasks to help with disabilities. They are allowed public access by law.

Emotional support dogs are pet dogs that are allowed in housing but NOT entitled to public access.

Therapy dogs are dogs that are trained to provide support to people other than their handler and they are NOT allowed public access to any areas other than where/when they are specifically working to provide therapy.

If the service dog's task is not obvious (like a guide dog) then the two questions can be asked by law.

Kona is about ready to find her new home. Must be approved! Conditions apply. Veteran's may apply and she will be tailored to your lifestyle before moving to you. Kona is 18 month old Belgian Malinois, is very loving and willing to chill on the couch in the evenings. She loves to go hiking, swimming, plays frisbee and ball, has been on a treadmill and taken out to pet friendly public settings. Kona has sit, down, stay, place, and is working effectively at loose leash walking. Needs to be an only dog at home and better around older kids but has been around a younger kid under supervision. Protect & Honor's very own new dog that is going to be part of the family and trainning program. Kona has been here almost a week and has made some progress. She shows some slight fear towards the crating process, and currently has no idea how to walk on a leash. Stay tuned for training videos as she becomes more of a stable dog.
