Audrey finished her first week of school so Serpa decided to surprise her in car line. Audrey also got selected for 🚨safety patrol🚨. Serpa tried to join her but they said they didn't need a K-9 unit, back to retirement.

Serpa got to meet the rest of the family this weekend and enjoy a little detour from the boring I-95 ride. Audrey and Serpa ventured from Green Cove Springs, through St. Augustine, into Palm Coast before making it home.

Audrey was born into a K-9 family. It wasn't something she asked for or understood.

Audrey's mom and I were absolutely terrified to bring her home into a house with a working dog with an already overly aggressive reputation

We could not have been anymore wrong. K-9 Jax was immediately Audrey's personal protection before she could even say his name.

K-9 Jax spent every living minute by her side until his passed in 2019.

Audrey found her new Jax last week and swears it was Jax himself who sent him.

I'm not by any means a K-9 expert, instructor, or whisper but I can handle and recognized a great dog.

Audrey has a four legged best friend back.

Hi there 👋 Welcome & we're happy you found us!

I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, my handler & tell you a little about us.

I'm K9 Serpa. I'm a German Shepherd, born & brought over from Hungary, and I'm just shy of 3 years old. I was a K9 with the in Texas. I am a dual purpose dog, I spent a little over a year working on the road. I was medically retired (don't worry, I'm fine!). After being retired I headed back to , which is how I met my new family.

Audrey, is the daughter of a former K9 Handler with the . She's grown up around K9s and the K9 world. While her previous K9 (K9 Jax) may have retired before she was born, she had a working K9 (K9 Bady) before her Dad moved on to a different department. Sadly in 2019, K9 Jax passed away. This was devastating to everyone, especially Audrey. Since then she's made it a mission to find 'her dog'. That's where I come in!

Audrey brought me home (with the help of her Dad & Mom of course) where I get to live out the rest of my days as her dog. Audrey is learning how to handle me, and I'm learning all about Audrey & her family. Audrey will keep me up on my obedience. I'm her PPD, no that's not some song (I'm sure it would be a good song!), I'm her personal protection dog.

The old man Miser and Serpa met each other tonight with zero issues. A huge stress solved.

Serpa and Miser enjoyed watching the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup with the family.

Audrey and Serpa started their morning with some socialization, exposure, and obedience training.

Serpa is still alot stronger then Audrey can handle by herself so I followed with the "emergency brake".

Both did very well.
