The devastation caused by the L.A. fires has deeply affected many, and our hearts go out to everyone impacted.

The safety of pets and people is our top priority. In lieu of this tragedy, we wanted to share some tips from TAMU for establishing a plan in the event that you have to evacuate your home and animals during an emergency situation.

Surveys indicate that more than 90 percent of pet owners are unprepared for a natural disaster. A disaster can strike at any time! We encourage all families to be safe and prepared by planning for their furry family members as they plan for themselves.

Good morning! We are open until 1 PM to assist our clients and patients, but please be very careful out on the roads and in our parking lot as there is still quite a bit of ice. Stay warm out there! 🫂♥️

It’s icy out there! The Flower Mound Police Department and Flower Mound Fire Department responded to several accidents overnight. Public Works crews continued sanding and addressing problem areas throughout the night and are still out in force this morning.

Thankfully, it will warm up today, but PLEASE give it time to get above freezing before you get on the roads. If you have to get out earlier, take it slow, especially on bridges and overpasses.

If road conditions continue to improve as expected, Republic plans to service Thursday and Friday’s trash on Saturday, Jan. 11. There will be no recycling or bulk/brush collection.

To give the temps a chance to rise and ensure the roadways are ice-free, the Flower Mound Public Library and Community Activity Center will both have delayed openings. The Library will be open from 1-5 p.m., and the CAC will be open from 1-7 p.m.

The Animal Adoption Center will be open normal hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Gibson-Grant Log House will open as normal from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hello! As you know, we are expecting inclement winter weather in our area. 🥶❄️ We are closely monitoring the forecast. If you have medication or food that you may need, please plan on picking these up before Thursday 1/9.

Should the road conditions become unsafe, we may have potential closure Thursday 1/9, Friday 1/10, and/or Saturday 1/11. If you have an appointment on any of these days, please keep an eye on your email and our social media pages for updates. If closure does happen, we will reach out to you each individually to reschedule your appointment. 🗓️
