📸 He is a 10 month old, 30 lb Silver Pocket Pittie, and he is one resilient pup! A good Samaritan found him on his driveway the Friday after Thanksgiving. Auggie was so emaciated and weak that he couldn't stand up, but he did manage to give a little tail wag. Good Samaritan carried him inside, gave him a warm bed and some yummy food, and he is now fostering him until we can find a great forever home for him.

📸 Auggie has already gained weight, but still needs to pack on a few more lbs. During a much needed bath, foster dad noticed several scars on his nose and ears, probably a result of an attack or abuse. Foster mom calls him Auggie Doggie, and says that, even after all that he has endured, he is the sweetest little pup around.

📸 He loves to give puppy kisses and snuggles. He loves chew toys and playing with the other dogs in his foster home, but his most favorite thing is being a lap dog and following his foster people around.

📸 He is learning basic commands and even learning how to play fetch. He walks well on leash, love car rides, and he is house and crate trained. Auggie will be a very loyal and loving dog for some lucky adopter.

🎶 iiii like big DOGS and I cannot lie! 🎶 Meet BEAR on Satruday at 11am! Details below 🐻

🐻 Bear is a two year old, 78 lb Catahoula mix, but breed mix is just our best guess. Bear's name fits him perfectly. He looks like a bear, acts silly like Yogi Bear, and is sweet and cuddly like a Teddy Bear.

🐻 He is a regular visitor at Camp BowWow and loves playing with the other dogs. Bear is strong like a bear too, so he needs an adopter who can handle him on leash. His leash manners have improved a lot, and walking him on a harness is a must.

🐻 Bear is potty and crate trained. He would love to sleep in bed with his people but is content to sleep on a soft dog bed in their room. We are recommending no kids under the age of 6, just due to Bear's size and strength.

Giselle says "If I fits, I sits!" Are you ready for a big goofball? Then this is your girl!

🧡 Giselle is an 10 month old, 55 lb SharPei/Great Pyrenees/Hound mix, but the breed mix is just our best guess. She is the soft, squishy mouth of a SharPei, the dew claws of a Pyr, and the curious nose of a Hound.

🧡 Foster mom affectionately refers to her as Gigi and says she is an absolute dream! She is the sweetest girl and is friendly with everyone she meets. She gets along with other dogs, large and small.

🧡 Gigi likes to run a few zoomies around the yard, then she is very content to take a long nap. With her chill personality and napping skills, Gigi would be an excellent candidate for an apartment or house dog.

🧡 Gigi is very smart and impressionable, so she is very easy to teach. Gigi is crate trained and will contently nap on her plush blanket with a plush toy all night and during the day while you are out of the house.

🧡 Due to her size, we are recommending no kids under the age of 6. Gigi is great on a leash and has impeccable vet clinic manners. This sweet gal deserves a soft spot to land and a home to call her own.

🐾 Bodi is a 7 month old mix breed pup, and we think he looks a lot like a Pointer/Boxer mix.

🐾 This cute boy is all about fun, fun, fun! He loves going to the dog park and is friendly with every dog and person he meets. He also loves taking walks and has great leash manners. Again, friendly with every dog and person he meets along the way. His favorite toy is a good chew bone.

🐾 Bodi is not great with cats. He probably just wants them to play with them, but most cats will have no interest in playing with a goofy puppy.

brings this precious boy ASHER 😍 This happy boy will have his tongue out at the adoption event this Saturday!

✴️ Asher is a 3 month old, 33 lb Yellow Labrador Retriever mix. This handsome boy is a big puppy and could weigh close to 80 lbs when full grown.

✴️ Asher is a very happy boy and has never met a stranger! He is super sweet and loves a good snuggle.

✴️ He is just learning to play with toys and chew on bones, so it will be a good idea to have a few of both on hand. We think Asher will be great with kids of all ages.

✴️ He is working on his house manners and gets better every day as he learns the routine at his foster's house. Asher is still a work in progress on his house and crate training, but with a little persistent training, he will get those mastered in no time.

For this we want to introduce you to Pretty Girl! But we'll let this 8 year old girl tell you her story for herself.

🎵 Hello there. My name is Pretty Girl and I AM, with my stunning green eyes and soft fur coat. My foster mom calls me Etta (as in Etta James) because I love to talk to you and have so much to say. She says I am “belting out the songs” when I talk to her.

❤️‍🩹 I was adopted from Humane Tomorrow as a kitten and have recently been returned. My mom has had some difficulties in her life and could no longer care for me. I was sad but am now in a good place and can show what an affectionate and fun cat I can be. I think I would be fine with other animals once we get to know each other. I pretty much ignore the resident cats in my foster home-they are old men who sleep most of the day.

😺 Of course I would LOVE to be an only pet so I would have all the attention showered on me – that’s what “pretty girls” like, right? Do you have room in your home and heart for me? I will have you “etta” out of my paw in no time!

😸 Dash is here to wish you a Happy !

🙃 Dash is 4 months old, and he is a typical orange cat in many ways. He loves to be held, loves to play, loves to eat other cats' food, and may or may not have only one brain cell!

🐈 He's an energetic little guy with a big purr. He'll spend all day chasing and wrestling with his feline foster brother. He's great with children and tolerates as many snuggles as a five year old can lavish on him. Dash will definitely need a home with another playful animal.

✨ It's a double (or should we say triple) and we have for you Shindig and Shenanigan!

💞 These two sweet 8 month old girls are sisters by birth and BFFs by choice. They would love to be adopted together.

🤎 Shindig is a torbie, which means her tabby stripes are having a Tortie color party! Shindig's favorite things include eating lots of yummy food so I can grow big and strong, playing with my siblings, and being first to check out all the new toys!

🧡 Shenanigan is the orange and white tabby. Shenanigan's favorite things are wrestling with her sister, Shindig, sitting on a human's shoulders so she can be tall, and going nuts for the wand toys

✨ This week's pup is Sydney! You may recognize her from her snowy pic last week.

🐕 Sydney is a uniquely beautiful and delightful 7 month old puppy. According to DNA results, she is mostly Great Pyrenees and Belgian Malinois mix, and will probably weigh 90-100 lbs when full grown.

🐾 She's the best of both breeds, soft and cuddly, with a sharp, busy brain. She is housebroken and crate trained, gets along with other dogs and people. She loves playing with toys and hunting for sticks in the yard.

🏡 Sydney is a smart pup too, and catches on very quickly. She's happy, bouncy and full of puppy love. Sydney isn't a good fit for apartment life or being left alone for long periods of time. She will need plenty of playtime and mental stimulation.

🙏 This , Pickles is thankful for his foster family, but he is ready to find his forever home.

🥒 Pickles is a 10 month old, 20 lb Blue Heeler mix. He is just the cutest thing with her black patch over one eye and a sprinkling of black speckles.

🐶 Pickles is a playful, smart, curious, cuddly, tail-wagging puppy. He gets along with all of his littermates as well as the resident dogs in his foster home. Like all puppies, he will need some training, supervision, good sturdy toys, and lots of cuddles and attention.

🐈‍⬛ This Snickers is hoping to find his forever home.

😻 This sweet boy is the ultimate snuggler. Human or another animal, he's not picky. He loves other cats and has been known to pile up with them and even cuddle up to the resident large dog in his foster home.

🐾 Snickers would make an excellent kitty companion for another cat or in a house with dogs, but he's definitely one who needs an animal companion. He doesn't shy away from strangers, and thinks everyone who enters the house is a friend yet to be made.

🛏 Snickers loves to play and cuddle up when he's ready for a nap. He's been known to burrow under the covers in his foster parents' bed at night because he just wants to be where the people are. His raspy meows will let you know when he's feeling needy for some affection, or if you're not getting his food ready fast enough.

😛 Ally is here for to share her pics.

🐶 Ally is a one year old, 65 lb German Shepherd mix. She loves to play with dog toys and run in the backyard. She also enjoys a good long morning and/or evening walk, Ally is very smart and learns quickly, especially when rewarded with a little treat.

💖 The most important thing to Ally is getting to spend time with her people. She gets attached very quickly. Ally gets along with the other dog in her foster family's home and would do okay with another playful pup or as an only dog.

🏢 Ally is crate trained and does well with kids. She spends the weekdays with her foster mom at work (in an office setting) and is a very good girl. She does not bark at the door and gets along with everyone who comes to the office.

We are launching our new NextGen initiative - workshops to inspire the next generation so they can help us all have a more Humane Tomorrow. We will host a NextGen gathering monthly with various animal-themed topics and activities, ranging from legislation to animal enrichment.

Fun activities, a little knowledge, and inspiration to make the world a better place... a great way to spend a Saturday morning!

In February, we are focusing on our transport and relocation program, Love On Wheels. Why we do it, how we do it, and how our NextGen voluneteers can help! All ages welcome!

Kids will learn some basics of dog care and then have the opportunity to decorate bags that go with the dogs to NY. Our shelter partners and future adopters LOVE the creativity of our volunteers!

Hi. I’m Merlin. I live with my foster mom and two other dogs, Breezy and Daisy…and sometimes other foster dogs who come and go. Mom says they got “adopted,” and she makes it seem pretty great. I was thinking that in 2025, I’d like to get adopted, too. I’ve been living with her for a couple of years now. It’s way better than the first home I had, if you could call it that. I was born in the country, and just lived with other dogs for the first few months of my life. That’s why I’m a little shy at first. We didn’t have much food back then, and the older dogs used to beat me up and take my food away, so I really appreciate treats now. I still love other dogs though! I get so happy when I see a new dog, because I know how to relate to them. When a new foster dog comes in, I’m always the first to greet them and let them know everything is going to be okay, because I remember how scared I was when I first got here. My New Year’s Resolution is find a home of my own. I’ve been getting out into the world more this past year and I think I’m ready to be someone’s special dog. I am a world-class snuggler, an enthusiastic (if not highly skilled) frisbee player, and the sweetest dog in the house (don’t tell Daisy I said that), so I bring a lot to the table. Sweet Sydney came into a shelter this week and quickly started showing signs of dreaded parvovirus. We knew we could help her, thanks to our Mercy Fund. Volunteers raced to the shelter and she is now at an emergency hospital where she'll get the best care available. When a puppy looks like this, we don't waste time raising funds to treat her. The Mercy Fund helps us be ready to provide the life-saving treatment Sydney and animals like her need. 💜Aster has a BIG HUGE ask for North Texas Giving Day this week! She wants to find her forever home or a foster home. She has been staying at our building in Argyle for 11 days now and we are sad that we haven't been able to find a foster home for her yet but all of our big dog homes are currently full. 🐾Aster is 10 months old and would love to have a playmate her own size or larger. She is a smart girl who sits right when you ask her to, loves to chase a ball so much and she brings it right back to you and drops it at your feet. She also is quite the adventurous and outdoorsy cutie pie. She loves to go to the lake and play in the water, loves to go on hikes and walks. And when she's feeling especially playful she chases bugs in the yard, which is adorable to watch. 👂And these ears.........do we even need to say anything about these ears other than they are the best thing ever?
