We really started our business as a way to educate. I met Gail Ziel’s Zoo-Central Kids And Critters during the school year when I went face to face to every school I could to give our flyers and show we do science classes along with our party events. I started my journey as a Pediatric MA (and ended the same way). Being able to see these kids light up and ask amazing questions while playing with our babies was an amazing experience that we will forever cherish. I cannot wait to get back out there and do it again! Thank you again Mrs. Ziel for letting us come hang out with you!

I have attached some of my favorite pictures of the day, including a side by side of Bluey the beardie and Uncle Hank. They were born in the same clutch. While Uncle Hank had a rough start, we were able to get him strong enough for his forever home. Knowing about Mrs. Ziel's Snake Breaks, we asked if she would like to help our "Little Dude" (as we so lovingly referred to him as). These amazing kids at Central Elementary in Vassar love and dote on him so amazingly that he is now hunting his own food and growing like crazy! We are so thankful for all the love and support has received and so glad his forever home is one we will visit often!

With the shortage of UVB light options available, we wanted to let you all know that we have a full shipment of the mercury ballast bulbs that provide basking heat and UVB. They are available in 100 and 160 watts

Just a reminder that we have this available in the store to anyone who needs to confirm there UVB levels are correct. In light of the changes happening in the industry regarding our heat and UVB lights, it is always a good idea to check your enclosures as you change to new style equipment

Ever wonder if your UVB light is providing the output that your pet needs? We now have this solar meter available for rent. We ask that you pay a deposit covering the value of the meter, upon returning it to us undamaged, we will refund all but $25. Why pay $200 for a meter you will probably use one time to confirm your setup is correct?

On the road again with our sweet Jellybean. Utah definitely did wonders on our girl and was very healing. Getting spoiled by grandma, grandpa, aunts, and uncles, and that amazing sunshine. Now heading home to continue PT and educate and cuddle.

Lola aka Jellybean was surrendered to us because her family didn't have time to care for her and wanted what was best for her. Unfortunately she wasn't getting the UVB she needed and has MDB (metabolic bone disease) Notice in the video her lack of coordination, how weak she seems dragging herself, and frustrated by how hard it is to eat her egg. Please be aware of your animals needs and make every effort to give them what they need. We have fixed the lighting, been giving her calcium, and has a trip scheduled to see the vet tomorrow.

Do you have unused or broken enclosures or fish tanks and supplies that you no longer need and just want gone? We will take them in any condition. We are trying to create more space to be able to display animals and be a safe space for surrendered animals needing a new forever home.

Genesee County residents will still have to pay the $10 dog license fee.
