This is a photo from our first week of Puppy Class last Wednesday! We are currently accepting clients for our next round of Puppy classes and adult dog Beginner Obedience classes beginning in mid-July, but we only have room for 4-6 dogs in each class so sign up soon if you’re interested!

Announcement: The start date of our AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy class has been postponed to this upcoming Wednesday at 6pm, but we are excited to announce that we also hope to start adult dog Basic Obedience classes that same day! We have seen a lot of interest in adult dog classes, so we are hoping we will be able to fill a class and get everyone signed up by Wednesday, and you’ll have to act fast if you’re interested!

We're excited to announce a fantastic new service at Jackie & Joe's Pet Care, in partnership with Compassion for Canines LLC 🐾 Starting this May, we will be offering group puppy training classes led by our amazing new team member, Nick, a certified dog trainer 🐕

This introductory class is perfect for puppies of all breeds and registration statuses, as long as they're fully vaccinated and under 12 months old. This class lays the foundation for good manners and obedience, making it the perfect first step towards the prestigious AKC Canine Good Citizen title (optional).

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy classes are a good first step toward the Canine Good Citizen title, which shows that your dog has good manners and social behaviors in public and is often a prerequisite for therapy dog certification!

Announcement: we will be hosting AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy classes every Wednesday evening at 6, tentatively starting May 1. The class is 8 weeks long, and puppies must be under 12 months old, fully vaccinated, and with no history of aggression to attend. We love collaborating with other pet professionals in our area 🐕🐈‍⬛ Compassion for Canines LLC was started by my AMAZING clients, Marina & Nick, who are not only passionate pet people but also pet advocates, who volunteer and foster for a Michigan dog rescue 🤩

The goal for their new company is to offer expert dog training services that are designed to help dogs, of all breeds and ages, become well-behaved and well-loved companions! They are experienced, certified (CPDT-KA), and ONLY use positive reinforcement techniques. Services include puppy socialization, crate/house training, and behavior modification for a variety of issues including aggression/reactivity, resource guarding, separation anxiety, and many more! 🐾

We are grateful to work alongside Marina and Nick to serve Genesee County with the absolute BEST pet care! We look forward to our ongoing collaboration 🙌
