For the native echinoderm enthusiasts, we just uploaded these exciting new additions to the website!

1”-2” Forbes’ sea stars (Asterias forbesi) and Atlantic purple sea urchin (Arbacia punctulata).

Asterias forbesi aren’t commonly offered but can make awesome additions to an appropriate coldwater or temperate marine aquarium. Attractively colored and can reach up to 6” in diameter making them an impressive display star. Just keep in mind that they can make short work of many shellfish and gastropods that they’re kept with.

Nice group of hatchery green sunfish arrived this past week! We are expecting more hatchery fish over the next few weeks as well.

White perch are back in stock too! Stock is compromised of nice-sized fish that are approximately 3”-5” and have been here around a month. Mostly taking live and frozen foods still although they have started to take some pellets. These are perfect for those who have wanted to try keeping temperate bass in aquarium but don’t have the space for stripers or white bass. Stock is limited!

Lots of updates and big changes coming this summer!

We’ve largely expanded our capacity to hold pond fish and are gearing up to start receiving our first shipments of hatchery fish within the next month.

We’re also working on expanding our capacity to hold brackish and marine fish and should be able to bring a much larger variety of niche species to our customers this year!

Some new reptile inventory will be listed in the following week as well.

Indian mud moray eel (Gymnothorax tile) eating a thawed silverside. This species is often sold as “freshwater” snowflake moray eel, however they need brackish or marine conditions to thrive long-term.
