What a an amazing week at the World Taxidermy Championships. Thanks to all my friends and lovely wife and kids for always inspiring me. Was great to spend time and learn from the best taxidermist in the world.

Two things that hit home for me this week.
1. Never forget where you came from
2. When you stop learning you stop being successful.

Great weekend at the South Dakota Taxidermy Association Competition. I was fortunate enough to win Best of Category Reproduction in the professional division. However, more importantly, I met some amazing taxidermist, learned new techniques, identified my descrepencies so I can attempt to fix, spend valued time with my wife, and overall be around those with similar goals and ambitions. Thanks everyone for the continued support. In a little over a month I have gained 1000 followers and I am grateful. Have a great day.

One of my favorite deer I completed for my hunting and fishing brother, Mike Honer. He went a long time without harvesting a deer. For the last two years he put meat in the freezer and one on the wall. Congratulations.

Even though I am exclusively switching to just fish, I am partnering with the DNR again this year to collect samples for the MN CWD program. I will remove a lymph node sample and submit it to the DNR.
