It was a beautiful morning for class today, we did a pack walk, Santa’s sled photos, confidence building, long line practice and place while each student took turns. What a great group of students and their dogs!

There’s healthier options!

Apoquel has very scary side effects.
From the Apoquel package insert, approximately 6% of test dogs developed cancers.⁠
⁠
Side effects listed when using Apoquel include vomiting, diarrhea, liver failure, overwhelming bacterial and fungal infections, including pneumonia. ⁠
⁠
Apoquel does not "cure" anything; it is an immune suppressant. It is only labeled for use in dogs, and is unsafe for puppies under 12 months or senior dogs due to their weakened immune system. ⁠
⁠
Allergies, skin infections, and ear infections are related to immune system dysfunction, which commonly occurs secondary to gut dysbiosis (imbalance of good and bad bacteria within the bowel resulting in swelling of the cells lining the bowel and secondary leaky gut). ⁠

Y’all meet 9mo & 6mo Onyx and Cobalt the Aussie brothers. This awesome Military crew is off to new adventures and until they transfer we’ll be working on manners inside and outside the house. They are sweet boys, but Onyx is fear reactive, so we got right to work. They’ll be starting the Private Program together🇺🇸🐾

Therapy Dog Thursday at the Haven and getting ready for their Fall Festival tonight! We had my student with us to observe our work so she can better understand the training process for Nova to become a Therapy Dog. We have one more visit next month and Camo’s retirement party before Christmas!

Grateful for the opportunity and many years of service we’ve provided to others in nursing homes!

Next year is Cai and I working with high functioning/special needs kids.

Altering a cat is far more difficult than a dog! This lil girl is a feisty, spicy drugged up mess! She’s trying to break outta the kennel, won’t wear the neck pillow, already dumped her litter pan 2x along with the food and water bowls! Cleaned and changed the beds 3x and she’s only been home for 2 hrs!!!

She’s not a fan of confinement when we’re home, but it’s her safest place!

Jesus take the wheel🙌🏼🐾

I enjoy seeing my students working after class at home. Kain is practicing Place and for the first time he gets to hang out with them on the front porch safely. She even went to mailbox and Kain stayed put!

Saturday’s Success is featuring my amazing students with Mortimer who mind you is 8.5yo and they completed their private lesson program over the summer and are currently in my group class as continuing education students.
They relocated here from AZ and although they had some previous training experience there, seeking out additional training help due to transition and new behaviors because of location they found me.
They’ve all been diligent in their training efforts with easing Mortimer’s reactivity towards pretty much everything, today after class I told them to have faith and go enjoy an outing at the park for the Beer n Brats festival!
Got a text with this picture on how awesome he did with alot of people, kids, music, dogs etc!

So proud of all of them and WAY TO GO MORTIMER 💙🐾

These are the things people need to look forward to when reaching their goals with their dogs!
