Angie's Dog House

Angie's Dog House We are a 501c3 rescue, saving animals to help provide a better quality of life. We believe every animal deserves a chance at a loving home.

Angie’s Dog House is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue located in the heart of south Alabama. For many years, our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to provide rescue services to animals in dire need, those who have been neglected, abandoned, or left without hope. Our mission extends beyond just rescuing pets; we strive to make a meaningful difference in every life we touch. We understand that th

e bond between humans and their pets is profound and transformative. That’s why we say, “We rescue the pets that save YOU!” By connecting our community with low-cost veterinary services, including spay and neuter programs and vaccinations, we help ensure that everyone has access to the care they need for their furry companions. Each situation is unique, and we handle everything on a case-by-case basis, ensuring personalized support for both animals and their owners. Angie’s Dog House believes it is our responsibility to care for those sick, weak, and abandoned animals who have no voice. We work diligently to rescue these vulnerable animals from overcrowded shelters and off the streets. After providing them with necessary medical care, including spaying or neutering, we partner with rescues located in the northeastern United States, as well as our foster network in Michigan to find them loving, forever homes. Together with your support, we can continue this vital work of compassion by rescuing those who cannot speak for themselves while creating lasting connections between people and pets. Join us on this journey of love and hope as we strive to give every animal the second chance they deserve.

“Saving one animal will not save the world, but surely for that one animal, the world will change forever”- unknown

Meet King 🖤

No, he isn’t just a little overweight in the first picture.
That photo shows how much fluid our vets had to drain from King’s body due to heart failure. His heart failure is the result of severe heartworms that went untreated for far too long.

The second picture is King after the fluid was drained. If you notice how incredibly skinny he is, that’s not by choice. It’s the result of his body failing him and the heartbreaking reality that he wasn’t being fed properly because his previous owners could not afford his medical care and ultimately let him go.

A shelter reached out to us, and we stepped in. Since then, Angie’s Dog House has been covering all of King’s medical costs to give him a fighting chance. We did it because he deserved help.

Right now, we are completely full, and we have racked up thousands of dollars in vet bills. We truly need help to keep saving dogs like King.

If you’re able, you can donate directly on this post, or visit our Linktree to help support King’s care and the others who depend on us:

These sweet things were found extremely malnourished. We pulled them from the shelter to have the ability to get them more care than the shelter could provide.

Can you help us name them?

🐾 One Step Closer to Forever 🐾

Our sweet furbabies are getting so close to heading off to their forever homes, and we couldn’t be more excited for them! 💛 Watching them prepare for the next chapter of their lives is the best feeling.

To make that happen safely, we need a little help. 🐶🚐
We are in need of transport crates or gently used kennels so these pups can travel securely to their new families.

If you’re able to donate a crate/kennel or help us purchase more, it would mean the world to us and to them.

Every bit of support helps us save more lives and get these babies where they belong. Thank you for being part of their journey! 🐾❤️

Because of you, 1,640 animals were saved in 2025. 🐾

That number represents second chances, full bellies, medical care, warm beds, and lives that would not be here without the incredible support from our donors and volunteers. Every donation, share, supply drop, and word of encouragement made a real difference, and we are beyond grateful.

From all of us at Angie’s Dog House, thank you for believing in these animals and standing beside us through every rescue. We couldn’t do this without you, and we’re excited to keep saving lives together.

If you’d like to help us continue this work and make 2026 even bigger, donations can be made here:
