Update on Henry, as many of you know, last year our Sheriff brought me a hound that was shot multiple times in the foot and body. Also he was so emaciated we did not know if he would make it through the night. When I took him to the vet he only weighed 29 lbs. With the injuries to his foot. It was touch and go, as we thought he would lose it. After months of hyperbaric therapy. I'm proud to say not only did he gain weight ( currently 60+ lbs) but we were able to save his foot. He still limps on it some but he can put weight on it and he does walk on it. Well I wanted to let you know Henry found his furever home. He not only bonded with me, but also our 19 1/2 year old Maltese Shih Tzu mix Valerie she is blind and deaf but he helps her find her way around and helps her up the steps to our bed.
In case you didn't realize we ended up adopting him. He loves all of our other furbabies and they love him. Kash even likes him. I will update you all on Henry progress and who knows he may get his own fb page..lol

For those who do not know due to medical issues I am not able to run the rescue anymore. However, I will still share post for lost furbabies and rehoming furbabies to their forever homes. But I will not be able to take them in. I hate that I can not actively run the rescue but in just the few years we were able to. We found over 260 furever homes. I want to thank everyone who supported us when we really needed it. We would not have been able to do that with out your help. Please know that because of the rescue we are now about to have a animal shelter in our county. I ask. That that everyone that can please help with the new shelter. They will be needing supplies and volunteers. Even if you can not help monetarily you can help in other ways. They will need fosters. Food donations, kennels someone to help walk the babies and help them socialize. Collars. bowls leashes, ect. Sharing their postings. Again thank you for all your support

Update on Henry

He is doing so much better. His foot is still swollen but the hair is growing back on the foot. He is also walking alot more on it. Excuse the mess but he came into my craft room with me and he decided Supervising me was tiring so he pulled some stuff I had on my shelf off and got comfy.

UPDATE ON HENRY: July 26

I just hated to have his foot removed just yet, because it was looking better. So we opted to try another round of strong antibiotics but this time for 6 weeks. He is on an anti-inflammatory as well to help with pain and swelling . He still has a swollen foot ( it isn't as swollen but still big ) and the fur on it as still gone in some areas, but he is walking on it alot more its slowly healing as the infection was deep tissue. He is getting better about being the house. Now he gets along well with his foster brothers and sisters ( he is staying with us so he has 3 shih tzu brothers, 2 shih tzu mix sisters and 2 brother cats, most were foster fails...lol) he loves playing with my grandkids so not only does he get along great with dogs and cats but also kids including small kids. Oh and he last weighed in at 54 lbs. Sorry I haven't updated recently. I had my own medical issue. I broke both my wrist Memorial Day Weekend at a family cookout and I tripped and tried to catch myself by putting my hands out, which is a no no after age 50 I guess.. but we are still in need of donations to help pay for his treatments. We have a good feeling since he is applying pressure and trying to walk more that we will not have to have it amputated. As long as he is not in pain and not making him sick we will try this. But if he was to start getting that way, we will go ahead. But with everyone's prayers and thoughts I feel he maybe able to save it. Thank you everyone for all your thoughts and prayers and donations. We still need more however. Also I have to thank my husband, my 17 yr old son and my grandbabies for helping me with the care of Henry while I was kinda not able to do it myself. I promise now since I'm free from my braces, I will update more. And Henry thanks you as well.
P.s. he loves laying on the couch.

Posting for a friend. Sr. Owner can no longer care for Nessie, due to medical issues. Nessie is approximately 2 yrs old up to date on medical. She seems good with kids and other dogs please share so we can find Nessie a furever home
