That’s a wrap for Oklahoma season on the historic Bar B Ranch with Beaver River Outdoors. Season recap was it was a really solid season. We started in November and pushed it to the end. Using 40,000 acres birds were plentiful, moving over 1,000 coveys this season. Never seeing a single digit covey day. Plenty of seed birds and winter moisture we are hoping for a better year next year. Still have a few dates available for next season. Side note the little white setter dog pointed a little over 300 coveys this season.

Looks like a few of them made it

Hard to see them all, but there is a nice clutch of 9 + week old birds. Those birds were on the Bar B Ranch. Looks to be a good season ahead.

We saw two good broods of chicks around the house this morning. Several birds live around here through the winter eating with the chickens and behind the horses. Looks like they’re teaching them to do the same.

Change up to blue quail talking. We are already seeing very early hatched blue quail broods this year.

I was on the skid loader cleaning a set of pens and noticed 2 bobs sparring around over a hen. Then she flew up on the pens and I took this video. Side note, birds have been paired up for a good while and this is actually one of the first hens we have seen in almost a month.
