Happy New Year Geaux Fluffy Family! Dan and I welcomed 2 litters both via c section today and yesterday. Both North and Dutton are healthy and all puppies are healthy! We are currently waiting for North to wake up more out of anesthesia before we take her and her munchkins home. This will be North’s last litter as her body just didn’t want to go into stage 2 labor and before things took a turn for the worst we decided to opt for a c section. We tried the Oxytocin shot early this morning and waited, but all it did was make her want to sleep instead of produce the contractions to deliver the puppers. She had 2 girls and 4 boys! Yesterday Dutton welcomed 2 girls and 2 boys! Dutton’s puppies were too big for her to deliver! They were all over a pound and are the size of a 1-2 week old puppy! HUGE! After 24hrs in stage 1 labor we decided it was time for our vet to take a look at her and I’m glad we got it right for both our girls and we all get to go home together. 🥹💕 This time last year was a different story for us with Fallon. These will be our only litters for awhile as we will only have two females who will continue to have pups for us.

Hey Geaux Fluffy Family! 🥰

Sage and Mamoa’s floofers are open for Fams! ✅ Khaki and Trousers are also still open as well! ✅ We also included a pic of Kakoa (Bass) our keeper floofer! 💜

Dan and I have made the decision to start phasing out of breeding in a couple of years. As our girls retire so will we. North and Dream will retire in 2 more years so I expect them to only have 3 or less litters. Depends on their over all health and how they are able to handle pregnancy. Some retire earlier than others. Dutton will be about a year after them and Denim will retire in about 4 years. These are our only females who will be bred to Mamoa and we usually only breed our girls once a year. We like to make sure they are healthy before they carry babies. We may add one more floofer so Denim will have someone younger to pal around with close to her age. This means we will only have a couple of litters a year. I will not rule us out of completely retiring, We may continue to always have one or two litters a year after we phase out and retire the majority of our kennel. I am not sure where are our hearts will be or how much our farm and personal life will take over in the future. With that being said we will be rehoming some of our adults in the next year or two to help downsize our kennel. As our daughter is getting older we’d like to have more time to spend with her and we are getting more busy around our farm as we grow our hay business. We would also like to have another baby and I don’t see us being able to take care of as many dogs and take on everything else on our plate. We absolutely love raising puppies for y’all, but it requires a lot of work and sacrifice. We do this purely out of love and I know that’s how most breeders get into raising puppies. I wanted to be up front and honest about our plans for the future bc I know there’s some of yall who would like a puppy from us in the future, but we will not be having as many litters to choose from as time goes on. I appreciate all of you who have welcomed a piece of our heart into your home over the years. This is a decision that has not been made lightly, but ultimately it is necessary. 💕🫶🏻

Update on Miss Jeanie girl… she already has nicknames 🤣🥹. We were sent home with some antibiotics for her umbilical cord and it should heal up just fine. 💕 I thought it may have been worse bc you never know hahaha but I am a worry wart. She did not like the taste of her medicine 😬. It will be a long week of us giving her extra love, so she won’t be too mad at us for the yucky taste! She is still on a hold until next week when she is finished with her antibiotics and fully heals. As for her siblings Khaki, Trousers, and Britches they are O P E N and not spoken for. 🥰💕

Hey Geaux Fluffy Family! Hope y’all have been doing well. Dan and I welcomed two litters of floofs into the world these last couple weeks! I hope y’all can forgive us for keeping it a secret. After losing Fallon we both were filled with anxiety and worry and did not want a lot of people asking if puppies have arrived. Whelping is stressful and we didn’t want to be more overwhelmed than we already are. We were planning on just breeding Sage, but Denim had a silent heat. She did not display any signs of being in heat prior. As many of you know our entire pack plays together every day except when someone is in heat. Unfortunately when we let our pack out Mamoa locked with her as we were letting our other floofs out. Denim welcomed 1 boy and 5 girls into the world. Sage welcomed 4 boys and 1 girl who was heartbreakingly stillborn at birth. This is Sage’s last bunch of munchkins as she is officially retired. We are keeping Bass as of now. Slacks from Denim’s bunch is spoken for and Jean is on hold. We are taking her to our vet in the morning to take a look at her umbilical cord site. It isn’t healing like the others and as y’all know we like to make sure everyone is healthy and thriving like they should before we open them to families. That being said, Sage’s litter will not be open to families until Nov. 4th. I just thought y’all might like a sneak peek of them! 🥰 If y’all have any questions let us know.

Hi Geaux Fluffy Family! I hope y’all’s week is going good so far. I wanted to let y’all know that Dan and I have decided to take our break from breeding early. I did say we may breed one or two of our girls and I had a lot of you ask about Summer litters. However, I did not have anyone that wanted to commit to our P A I D waitlist for us to justify having summer litters. Unfortunately I can’t go by someone’s word bc honestly 9/10 times they don’t want to wait or aren’t serious about a puppy. The market is also entirely flooded at the moment and I don’t want the stress or anxiety of finding the floofers homes either right now. Which brings me into my next point. I also really want a break from the stress, worry, and anxiety that comes with raising a litter. I don’t want to have to worry about one of our mommas during pregnancy, labor, and also the puppies as they grow with us. I just really need a break from whelping and raising floofers. To be frank I am still hurting over Fallon’s passing and of course all of our other babies from the heatwave causing our ac to go out in the kennel last year. My momma heart is hurting so bad, and all the goodbyes with the puppies leaving didn’t help. It definitely hit so much harder this go around and there’s just been a whole lot of goodbyes here as of late. I just want to love on our pack for a couple months, enjoy them, and just focus on having fun with them until later this year. Penguin and Crane will be our last puppies for a while.

Thank y’all for understanding as Dan and I heal.
If you’re I N T E R E S T E D in a floof later this year (October, November, December), reach out to get on our W A I T L I S T. We will update when we have confirmed breedings later this year 💕
