Great news! K9 Nyla’s X-Rays showed no Orthopedic injury or disease in her knee or SI joint. The report came back as a pulled glute. Big thanks to the team for taking top tier care of my girl! Just some rehab plus down time and she will be back in action in a month.

We’d like to first thank our supporters for nominating us for and of course your continued support! Not only are we the ONLY Canine Retreat in the Parish, but the only boarding and training facility owned and operated by both a Canine Specialist and a Veterinarian in the state of Louisiana. AFM K9’s standards are designed to exceed that of any and all competition. We provide unmatched service and peace of mind when you leave your dog in our care. No more spay/neuter requirements that affect the longevity of a dog’s health, lack of transparency, exposure to injury or disease without the ability for immediate medical care, unattended dogs, unable to board due to behavioral issues, abuse, neglect, and poor communication with clients. I created AFM to right the immoral and unethical behavior from competitive boarding facilities right here in own parish and the surrounding area. We wanted to bring peace of mind back to dog owners as we stand firm to the golden rule. So…I created a place good enough for my own dogs to share with yours. We are a family owned business that dedicates our lives to dogs. This contest would not only be a major win for our mission, but win or lose competitors will have to hold a higher standard to even be competitive against us. That’s what we believe will bring a major shift in this industry, and that provides a winning situation for dogs and their owners. Phase 1 of the X9 program focuses heavily on movements and advanced obedience. Every dog in this program has a customized plan that is dog and breed specific. This is a program that goes in the opposite direction of a multi handler dog. It is by design to create the utmost loyalty to an assigned handler. It’s time for Snow Goose Conservation Season. The team will be tasked with the possibility of 100 plus bird days. Daily Routine Pile work with shifts between two dogs is the plan to prepare for the upcoming hunts. The dogs you see in the video are technically still pups and very green to actual field experience.
