This darling little bunny named Alice is in need of a forever loving indoor home. Sadly, her elderly owner passed away. She was found by the property manager. Alice is 3 years old according to the elderly gentleman’s caregiver. Alice was a therapy bunny. She’s very calm and doesn’t mind being held.

If you can provide a forever home for Alice, please DM us. The bunny is in Carmichael, CA. Alice will be taken to a shelter if a home is not found in the next day or two. We don’t know if she’s spayed or vaccinated. If you can provide a forever home we will help to get her spayed and vaccinated if needed.

URGENT ‼️ FOSTER NEEDED!!! Please come to Placer SPCA this Sunday, January 12th from 12pm to 4pm located at 200 Tahoe Ave., Roseville, CA if you can foster these two darling Lionhead bunnies for us.

Will you help us to rescue Debra O’Conner & her friend Ilene? Debra had been on enrofloxacin, tms and meloxicam. She is doing better but does have a a font incisor that is fractured that the Vet recommend monitoring for two weeks then may need extracted. She has been spayed. Ilene was also on tms, meloxicam and still has a day left on enrofloxacin. They are both easy to handle and nice girls.

If you’d like to spend some time caring for a foster bunny, DM us. We have several rabbits who need someone to spend a little time with them.

We provide any needed supplies and pay for spay/neuter. Fosters are required to transport their foster to and from Veterinary appointments, photo sessions, and monthly adoption events. Fosters are also required to text pictures and videos to the Director weekly along with updates on the foster rabbits personality. Fosters care for their foster inside the home only until he/she is adopted. We are looking for committed people who can foster more then a year if needed. We need to make sure no one in the home is allergic to rabbits or Timothy hay.

If you feel you can fulfill the foster commitment, Dm us or please email us at [email protected] so that we can send you a foster agreement and volunteer form.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Please consider making a year-end tax-deductible donation to help us to continue to save the life of rabbits like Paddington and Theo who came to us with injuries to their front legs. Biscotti came to us with severe ear infections in both ears causing a head tilt. Trooper was rescued after he was attacked by another animal with severe injuries and abscesses. Trooper continues to be under Veterinary care. We took in Charlotte (formerly Margarite) as a sanctuary rabbit from another rescue. She was abandoned along a highway and continues to have health issues. She’s not able to keep weight on and is suspected to have cancer. Lollipop was rescued with chronic teeth and uri issues which sadly she succumbed to. Chowder was rescued with major pressure in both his eyes causing him to lose both eyes. Daisy had an injury to her back leg requiring the amputation of the leg. These are just some of the rabbits we’ve helped in 2024.

Please help us to continue to provide medical care, spay/neuter, rhvd2 vaccinations, and care expenses for abandoned, abused, and neglected rabbits by making a tax-deductible year-end donation.

Our Story

Friends of Unwanted Rabbits rescues rabbits abandoned at local area shelters. Our main focus of rescue is rabbits taken to the Sacramento County Animal Care & Regulation. All Rabbits are spayed/neutered, litter box trained, and socialized before being housed at Petco, located at 855 East Bidwell Folsom, CA. Some of our rabbits stay in foster homes until they are adopted and are not housed at Petco due to their size and/or special needs. Volunteers care for the rabbits housed at Petco daily by providing exercise and socialization time outside their cages. Our rabbits are adopted to carefully screened indoor homes. We specialize in Rabbit Speed Dating. Bring your healthy spay/neutered rabbit to our adoption event and we will help find him/her a forever bunny friend.
