We had a great two weeks at WEC with Deslauriers 111 Z moving up to the 1.10m, Luigi 262 winning 2nd in the 1.30m, and Rock Star scoring consistently well in the 3’6” Performance! 🤩

High Hopes Farm had an amazing two weeks in Gulfport!
✨Jill Sims and Abracadabra earned Reserve Champion in the .85m Jr/Am Jumpers
✨Amelia Dumford piloted Imita to multiple clear blue ribbon rounds in the 1.15m Jumpers

✨Amelia and her other mount Tokyo competed successfully in the 1.30m Jumpers and earned 5th place in the 1.25m Open Jumper Classic

✨Sydney Appenzeller and Luigi competed in their first Grand Prix and Welcome together

✨Sydney and Rock Star were Reserve Champion in the Performance 3’6” Hunters

✨Sydney and Deslauriers 111 Z earned multiple blue ribbons in the 1.0m Training Jumpers

Two weeks ago we lost our sweet Sailor (Island Boy) almost 2 months after he sustained a severe pasture injury to his leg that resulted in a persistent infection that could not be eradicated no matter how hard we tried. He brought Stella into the Low Junior Jumpers and even dabbled in the Equitation ring. He was very fast and would jump just about anything at the most extreme angles which is why he was a winner first on the racetrack then in the jumper ring! He could also throw a pretty impressive buck when he wanted to. He was so sweet and affectionate with such a big personality! He loved taking naps, throwing his halters and blankets off their hooks, and bickering with his neighbor Loui. We will always miss our quirky boy 💔

We lost a big part of our hearts last week to a nasty colic. Though we did everything we could, it unfortunately wasn’t enough. Anos Veros was such a special boy that did it all for his Stella: the big equitation classes, the junior jumpers, and the grand prixs! He was the sweetest boy that always welcomed you into the barn with his deep and unique neigh. There’s no other horse like him and he will always stand out in our hearts. We miss you more than anything, Anos Veros 💔

Last weekend we lost the horse that started it all. Our very first horse that did a little bit of everything. He was ridden Western before we bought him, did the hunters with Sydney and Melissa, carried Stella around in her first Leadline classes, and took Sydney in her first jumper classes. He was definitely a special one that we already miss so much 💔 🌊

On Monday we lost our sweet Poeme unexpectedly 💔 when we first got her she did not like to be handled at all, but over our 8 years together she learned that it’s not so bad to be loved on. She was a mare with an attitude but she tried her heart out in the ring. We will all miss her so much 😢
