We are 2 weeks away from our pop-up barrel race and we are super excited as we prepare for the big day!!

‼️ $2250 ADDED to the Open
‼️ $200 ADDED to the Youth Side Pot

The STRIDEDSolutions entry system will go live next Saturday 2/1 @ 8am sharp! ‼️Please do not register through other sites besides the WCS business page‼️ Early entries will be removed and not refunded.

A couple of reminders.
➡️You can run either Peewee (up to age 10 on the day of show)
OR
Youth SidePot (up to age 18 the day of show)
➡️Open time will rollover to Youth (you will not make an actual run).
➡️If you and/or your horse are sick, please stay home. You will be entering a working boarding facility and we don’t want any illnesses lingering.
➡️ We follow IBRA guidelines and payout even though we are not IBRA sanctioned.
➡️ Plan on buddying up and ride with friends. Parking is limited but we can still get a total of 120 entries in for the day. We expect to be full.
➡️ NO REFUNDS!! Please take this into consideration before entering. I will allow a vet excuse for turnout.
🍏 As always, come hungry! All of your favorite comfort foods will be hot and ready for you!!

Now that our barrel racing series has finished up, I am super excited to announce that Willow Creek Stables will be hosting the Barn Hunt Regionals from May 10-12th in conjunction with K9 Athletes Sports Academy. 🐾 Barn Hunt is a scent work sport for dogs where they must find a hidden live rat 🐀 in a protected tube in a course made of straw. Along with the 🐀 filled tube, there are also tubes with just litter in it and empty tubes. The dog is also required to travel through a tunnel and climb onto the bales of straw in order to complete the course to receive a qualified win within a certain amount of time. Each dog begins at the Novice level and can proceed to upper levels. Each level has a different number of rats and tubes to increase to level of proficiency. I have attached a video of my girl Bella working in the Senior class (4 rats) as an example. You can also YouTube more videos for specific information about the sport and can also look up BarnHunt.com ➡️ The entries filled to capacity within 1 1/2 hours and we are expecting 150 handlers over this 3 day event. ‼️ The event will be open to visitors to watch and enjoy this fun dog sport! More details to come as we get closer to the event date.
