501c3 non-profit charitable organization, Critter Junction Pet Rescue:
Animal Control Facility, Animal Shelter,
Small Animal Rescue, Low Cost Spay/Neuter Cat transport, Maternity Cat/Kitten Program, Pet Supplies, and Walk-in nail trims. We take in displaced and surrendered cats and other small pets from private individuals and from other Wisconsin rescues, shelters and animal control, to adopt t

hem out into their Forever Homes. From the Maternity Cat program, where pregnant and nursing Mom cats (mostly country and farm cats, but also the "oops Moms) are surrendered to the rescue, they queen their litters, and then the Moms are vetted, vaccinated, spayed and returned back to their home at no cost to the owner. To the many, many litters of kittens who, via the Maternity Cat program, are saved from a harsh outdoor life and adopted into loving homes. Critter Junction Pet Rescue works outside the box to give them their best forever

Spay and Neuter:
We host a Spay Me! Once a month we transport 50 local cats to the Wisconsin Community Veterinary Center in Madison to be Spayed/Neutered and vaccinated at low cost.

Grooming:
Our Self Serve Pet Wash is available for Walk In's with No Appointment Needed during all open hours. We provide everything you need from the tubs, aprons, towels, blow driers, grooming tools, and a variety of shampoos, conditioners and colones! Our staff is always available for nail clipping, ear cleaning, gland expression, fur matt removal and to assist you and your pet; but 'sorry' we do not do full shaves or fur cuts! We clips nails on almost all pets at a low cost. We even do house calls for special needs people and special needs pets!

Tonight is the night! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas .. Dog Walk in the Park. NFDL Optimist Park located at 1744 Park Ridge Lane. Are you looking for adoption or just some kitten purrs, biscuits, toe beans, and snuggles? Santa pictures with kids or pets... bring your own cameras or cell phone... because Santa will be there too.
Pets make terrible gifts. If you think your Mom or Grandfather, etc. really needs or wants a pet... bring them with and let them decide. The pet they would choose may not be the same as you, and maybe they don't really want a pet at all. For people and families that are truly ready for a lifetime commitment, this is the event for you.

We named him Rojo. Spanish for the color red... which was his very sore little bum. Now that we are knocking the intestinal parasites out, and his tummy, bum, and eye are looking, and I am sure feeling, so much better... tonight was a hot tub (well, warm tub anyway) night. Funny is when you find one that actually enjoys a dawn dish soap bubble bath. That is this guy!! ❤️

Just an FYI: the rescue will be closed from Sun Dec 22nd (technically Thur Dec 19th) through Saturday Jan 4th.
End of the year holiday time, and working vacation.
This is the time of year when we get caught up on repairs, purging and all those "honey do" lists that I made during the year, like: "Hey... this really heavy thing would work much better over there, so we also going to have to move that other really heavy thing out of the way! Where am I going to put that other really heavy thing? I don't know. Somewhere. Don't ask silly questions!"

During this time, all schedule fundraising events are as planned and we will be available to respond to emergency police calls... but any and all other communications sources will be set to out of office.
Sometimes one just needs to dial it down a little and breath!

Scheduled Events are happing as planned:
Cats and kittens will still be moving out to PetSmart and there will be adoptions.
Thur Dec 19th- Bingo, Brothertown Bingo Hall 311 Winnebago Dr in FdL, doors open at 5pm bingo starts at 6:30pm.
Fri Dec 20th - Dog Walk in the Park 6pm-8pm NFdL Optimist Park.
Sat Dec 21st - Kitten Adoption and Santa Event at PetSmart in FdL noon to 3:00pm
Thur Dec 26th - Post Christmas Bingo Bash, Brothertown Bingo Hall 311 Winnebago Dr in FdL, doors open at 5pm bingo starts at 6:30pm.
Sat Dec 28th - Bingo, hall doors open at 5pm bingo starts at 6:30pm.
Thur Jan 2nd - An All New Year (Let it be a Good One) Bingo, hall doors open at 5pm bingo starts at 6:30pm.
Sun Jan 5th - registration opens noon to 5pm (Jan is full) for the Feb 9th/10th Cat Spay/Neuter transport.

Adult male, neutered and eartipped, no microchip, has been "Mister, can I please have another" pan-handling on the 300 block of Maple Ave in Fond du Lac.
Without a microchip, we know he is not one of our TNRs... and he is a friendly guy. Since he is refusing to tell us his name... we are calling him Jarmy.

Look who's helping polish the Spin Wheel for the Food Truck Festival today!

I wasn't positive I wanted to show this video but I think it's good for people to see. With Claire's disability , she walks in to stuff quite often. I used to run to her the second I thought she might be injured but quickly learned you need to just give her a few seconds to shake it off just like any other kitty. Tucker must have witnessed it too and he wasn't going to let her feel bad for long.(or was he)? Lol he's a stinker.

Claire can climb!! This is a major accomplishment. Tears of joy rolling down my face. #TeamClaire

Oliver is enjoying watching Tucker and Claire play with their new toy. Seems to be working good building stability.

Claire: Play hard sleep hard. When Claire takes a nap is when everything can finally take a break. She is learning to adapt quite well with her disabilities. Pretty sure Claire is deaf or nearly deaf. Waking her for lunch and recess. Sorry about my annoying voice but video wouldn't be the same without sound.

Check out this video - it might look like nothing's going on, but trust us, it's pure gold! Claire is actually taking a break from her usual ninja moves and showing off her chill side. She's learning to control her body more and more. She still crys and circles when she feels lost but seeing improvements. # teamclaire #teamclaire

Claire successfully ascended furniture for the first time, demonstrating her developing motor skills. She exhibited some unease, but Oliver effectively calmed her down. However, she began to move in circles, a common behavior in this situation.

Claire seems to be adjusting well not quite as much crying unless she wanders to far away. She explores but has to come back every few seconds to get reassurance that she was not left alone. Tucker as you can see wants her to play. This "kitten" play is very good for Claire. Now she needs to teach him how to stay off the counter.

Meet Claire... Claire has joined Tucker in foster care to learn how to use the force. Claire appeared to have no signs of CH until a few days ago. She is 13 weeks. Yes, unfortunately it can come on later in life. When a kitten develops it later in life it's harder for them to adjust because they know what life was before. She is eating good and still uses the litter box when she is in her cage. Right now she is getting therapy multiple times a day.This includes an antibiotic specific for the brain, running free, tight snuggles to try and give her legs and brain a rest, belly rubs and bonding time with Tucker. We will post updates every couple days. #teamclaire

Everything we do is for the benefit of animals rescued in the State of Wisconsin. ~~ Grooming: Our Self Serve Dog Wash and We-Wash (where we wash for you) is available for Walk In's with No Appointment Needed during all open hours. We provide everything you need to from the apron, to a variety of shampoos, to the blow driers and bows! Instead we operate an Animal Rescue. We take in displaced and surrendered pets from private individuals and from other rescues, shelters and animal control throughout Wisconsin, to adopt them out into their Forever Homes. We frequently have cats, kittens, rabbits, hamsters, small birds, and guinea pigs. Occasionally we have larger birds, domestic mice and rats, gerbils, dogs, puppies and exotic pets. ~~ Spay Me! Clinic: We host a low cost transport to the Spay Me Clinic! Once a month we transport local pets to the Spay Me! Clinic in Madison, to be Spayed and Neutered and receive vaccinations at low cost.

~~ Maternity Cat Program: We often take in pregnant cats and cats with litters of kittens, most typically from area farms. Once the Mom cat has finished nursing her litter; she is spayed, vaccinated and returned to her home, at no cost to to her owner. The kittens are also spayed/neutered, wormed, vaccinated, and find adoptive homes from the rescue.
