Animal Control Facility, Animal Shelter,
Small Animal Rescue, Low Cost Spay/Neuter Cat transport, Maternity Cat/Kitten Program, Pet Supplies, and Walk-in nail trims. We take in displaced and surrendered cats and other small pets from private individuals and from other Wisconsin rescues, shelters and animal control, to adopt t

hem out into their Forever Homes. From the Maternity Cat program, where pregnant and nursing Mom cats (mostly country and farm cats, but also the "oops Moms) are surrendered to the rescue, they queen their litters, and then the Moms are vetted, vaccinated, spayed and returned back to their home at no cost to the owner. To the many, many litters of kittens who, via the Maternity Cat program, are saved from a harsh outdoor life and adopted into loving homes. Critter Junction Pet Rescue works outside the box to give them their best forever

Spay and Neuter:
We host a Spay Me! Once a month we transport 50 local cats to the Wisconsin Community Veterinary Center in Madison to be Spayed/Neutered and vaccinated at low cost.

Grooming:
Our Self Serve Pet Wash is available for Walk In's with No Appointment Needed during all open hours. We provide everything you need from the tubs, aprons, towels, blow driers, grooming tools, and a variety of shampoos, conditioners and colones! Our staff is always available for nail clipping, ear cleaning, gland expression, fur matt removal and to assist you and your pet; but 'sorry' we do not do full shaves or fur cuts! We clips nails on almost all pets at a low cost. We even do house calls for special needs people and special needs pets!

The dog, Trouble, being rescued off the Fond du Lac river yesterday. Thank you to the people at Fido Dog Park yesterday... saw something, said something! Thank you also to everyone, sharing and caring and out in that cold getting him found.
He is home safe.

Critter Junction Pet Rescue has a contract with the City of Fond du Lac (FdL) and Village of N. FdL to provide animal control services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Until we get the kennel build, our space for dogs is extremely limited. We are licensed as an Animal Control Facility with the State of Wisconsin and there is this State Law thing called "capacity" and "required size" for primary dog enclosures. Violating state laws for capacity and space comes with some significant fines and the possibility to be shut down... and then we are there to help no one.
If I take in a dog from outside of our jurisdiction (which I can't right now because the room is tied up with a City of FdL situation) and then what do I do with the next lost City of FdL dog, or a N. FdL fire where a dog needs immediate holding?
I get calls from people and public authorities all across the county. I get calls from across the state. He!!, I get calls from other states asking me to assist with dog situations. It is NOT that I don't want to. Saying "No." is the hardest thing that I have to do. I wish we could help them all, but we can't. We do the best we can, with what we have, within our means, and always within the law... that is all we can do.

Happy update: he has been caught and is home! ❤️

Update: owner located, they are out trying to find him.
Last known location, on the river near the corner of N. Lincoln and Russell St.

Does anyone have any information about this dog. Medium build and very fluffy! Sighting only. The dog is on the river outside of the Fido Dog Park fence. Hoping he/she belongs to someone there and is just out on a potty break.

Two very sweet little girls caught a ride out to the Cat (and small pet) Adoption Center at PetSmart in Fond du Lac. They are ready to find their furr-ever. Applications are on the table in front of the cat center.
Cats: Just fill one out and slide it under the cat room door if you want to meet them.
Bunnies: same application, but speak directly with PetSmart staff.

The mostly white one (coming from a different location), I thought they still might be from the same litter.
Nope! Clearing them medically and bringing them together, they needed to do the whole "kitten new introduction" dance.
Having kittens, in a very positive way, meet strangers at a young age, will set the pace for their good citizenship for the rest of their life. They may not have been from the same litter, but they are one litter now.

Look who's helping polish the Spin Wheel for the Food Truck Festival today!

I wasn't positive I wanted to show this video but I think it's good for people to see. With Claire's disability , she walks in to stuff quite often. I used to run to her the second I thought she might be injured but quickly learned you need to just give her a few seconds to shake it off just like any other kitty. Tucker must have witnessed it too and he wasn't going to let her feel bad for long.(or was he)? Lol he's a stinker.

Claire can climb!! This is a major accomplishment. Tears of joy rolling down my face. #TeamClaire

Oliver is enjoying watching Tucker and Claire play with their new toy. Seems to be working good building stability.

Claire: Play hard sleep hard. When Claire takes a nap is when everything can finally take a break. She is learning to adapt quite well with her disabilities. Pretty sure Claire is deaf or nearly deaf. Waking her for lunch and recess. Sorry about my annoying voice but video wouldn't be the same without sound.

Check out this video - it might look like nothing's going on, but trust us, it's pure gold! Claire is actually taking a break from her usual ninja moves and showing off her chill side. She's learning to control her body more and more. She still crys and circles when she feels lost but seeing improvements. # teamclaire #teamclaire

Claire successfully ascended furniture for the first time, demonstrating her developing motor skills. She exhibited some unease, but Oliver effectively calmed her down. However, she began to move in circles, a common behavior in this situation.

Instead we operate an Animal Rescue. We take in displaced and surrendered pets from private individuals and from other rescues, shelters and animal control throughout Wisconsin, to adopt them out into their Forever Homes. We frequently have cats, kittens, rabbits, hamsters, small birds, and guinea pigs. Occasionally we have larger birds, domestic mice and rats, gerbils, dogs, puppies and exotic pets. ~~ Spay Me! Clinic: We host a low cost transport to the Spay Me Clinic! Once a month we transport local pets to the Spay Me! Clinic in Madison, to be Spayed and Neutered and receive vaccinations at low cost.

~~ Maternity Cat Program: We often take in pregnant cats and cats with litters of kittens, most typically from area farms. Once the Mom cat has finished nursing her litter; she is spayed, vaccinated and returned to her home, at no cost to to her owner. The kittens are also spayed/neutered, wormed, vaccinated, and find adoptive homes from the rescue.
