It is national volunteer appreciation week! We just wanted to give a huge shout out to all volunteers of Crooked Creek Horse Park. Without you, we wouldn’t be where we are today. The countless hours and love you put into the park is shown in how beautiful our park is and how popular our events are! We’re extremely grateful for all of your time, love, support, and sacrifices away from family and other things you could be doing. THANK YOU!!

Volunteers & board members worked on a few projects this past weekend!

💫 Back Warm up arena expansion 💫
- a pipe has been added to assist in water removal and once that’s covered, it’s going to expand our back arena several feet!

💫 Speaker updates/fixing 💫
- to ensure that exhibitors can hear, a few speakers where adjusted/rotated to be In the correct postion. We also have a new portable speaker systemm and have that working also!

💫 Museum Barn Restoration 💫
- not pictured but our guys worked steadily at ripping out flooring and replacing some structure beams to ensure safety for all. As well as some of our great female volunteers started a big cleanup job on the inside!
💥 Please note the Museum Barn is off limits until this project is finished for the safety of everyone.

Our beautiful Slease Connector trail! This beauty only needs some minor work and is open to walkers and joggers! Fingers crossed that it’ll be open to horses in 2026!

We are starting the look for volunteers for the upcoming Crooked Creek Competitive Trail Ride and Ride and Tie!

We are looking for:
Spotters: Alongside our local HAM radio club, you'll be stationed on parts of the trail to make sure riders and runners are going the right direction and keep track of who went through.

Pulse and Respiration Takers: Demonstrated knowledge of taking pulse and respiration of an equine required.

Water truck: Responsible for keeping water troughs filled on the trail as well as handing out snacks to riders, runners and equines. Equipment and snacks will be provided.

If you have any interest, please reach out to 724-594-3835. It will all count towards your volunteer perks. It would be approximately two-four hours of work on each day and you will receive a t-shirt for your help.
