Massive!
The Kelpies, residing in The Helix Park, are the largest equine sculptures globally. Situated between Falkirk and Grangemouth, this park was created as a communal space for the people in the Falkirk area.
These sculptures not only bring together individuals from different parts of Scotland and the UK but also attract tourists from all over the world. Standing at a towering height of 100ft and weighing more than 300 tonnes each, the captivating Kelpies are a remarkable feat of human creativity and engineering. Designed by artist Andy Scott, these artworks have become a significant landmark, inspired by the Clydesdale horses Duke and Baron.
Representing the historical importance of the heavy horse in Scottish industry and economy, the Kelpies were instrumental in transporting wagons, ploughs, barges, and coalships, shaping the landscape of Falkirk.
