Update on Momma Letty before this page is overloaded with adorable puppy photos! *Coming soon*
I'm happy to report Letty is recovering very well from her back injury and c-section/spay. She still moves a bit unsteady but she is sucessfully using all 4 limbs and my heart sings with each tail wag. We appreciate all the love and prayers sent our way over the last few weeks. I have no doubt each one impacted her healing! Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!
After such an eventful day, it's nice to finish it on such a positive note. Desi had 3 boys and 1 girl. Momma Desi and puppies are doing great.
We are forever greatful for all the kind words and love sent our way today. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. 🐾❤️
Where there is sorrow let there also be joy. Desi said hold my doggy bone. We ain't done yet. Desi's pups are on the way!
Bittersweet news, Momma Letty's c-section went well and she is now in recovery. Sadly due to complications in development, her 3 sweet angel babies will not be coming home with her.🐾😇
We greatly appreciate any thoughts and prayers for her recovery.
Momma Letty went in for her C-Section this morning. We will update as soon as we hear how everything went.
We met with our Veterinarian this week and Doc was pleased with Momma Letty's improvements. We are now anxiously awaiting the C-Section scheduled for Thursday. I'm a nervous wreck so all the love and prayers are much appreciated.
Momma Desi's due date is today so we are just waiting on her to release the saustages. Stay tuned for updates and lots of puppy pics!
These girls are large and in charge! We have a couple weeks to go until pups make thier arrival.
Desi is doing great. Shes been demanding extra belly rubs and we are happy to oblige.
We're still hesitant to get excited for Letty's pups arrival due to her back injury. Medication has helped but there is some long term concern for her mobility. She has cooperated so far with her kennel rest restrictions, but if she had it her way, she'd be chasing butterflies in the yard with everyone else. We have already started some mild physical therapy and we're working on a game plan with our veterinarian for a safe delivery. Continued prayers are appreciated.
Prayers for our sweet momma Letty, please. A dachshunds owners worst nightmare, she has badly injured her back. We are working with our amazing Veterinarian and Staff to provide the best care possible for her and her pups but, we could all use the prayers for wherever the road ahead leads us. 💔

We are still waiting for Summer pairings to begin but, I wanted share this little gem in the meantime. This is the little lady that started it all for Nelson's Dachshunds. I grew up with Ginger and she blessed our family with the most amazing 13 years together. I'd love to hear about your first Dachshund!
Storms took out a tree and the tree took out the fence. We're okay and we pieced the fence back together. The dogs could care less they are just tickled pink they can do parkour off the stump.
🐾 Got a pupdate from the Jordan family. This is Captain Carlos! 🛟✈️ He is from Fritter X Eli's last litter and he is such a handsome guy! Fritter X Eli will pair again Summer/Fall 23 and I hope we can reproduce some of this beauty! Happy Tails Captain Carlos! 🌭🐾❤️

So happy to introduce to you all Penny X Eli new littles! Everyone has chunky little tummies today and mom is doing absolutely amazing. These cuties will be dual APRI & CKC but, everyone is on hold until they reach 2 weeks of age. Enjoy! 🐾❤️

We've enjoyed our down time here at Nelson's Dachshunds but we have caught a case of puppy fever. Luckily, Momma Penny was gracious enough to provide the antidote! We are expecting some gorgeous reds, shaded reds, and blue based reds from her and dad Eli soon! Pups are due March 6th!!
I've had a few ask but we do not have any available pups at this time or any expected litters on the way. We will be enjoying our Holiday anticipating new pairings in 2023. Merry Christmas from all of us at Nelson's Dachshunds!!
