Yall, we need your help. In case you didn't know, Friends Furrever Animals Rescue sponsors the LRC Low Cost Spay and Neuter, but both organizations are NONPROFIT and only survive off of donations. A lot of people think that we get the fees paid for services at the low cost spay and neuter clinic, BUT WE DONT!! The rescue account is getting super low and we depend on the kindness of strangers to help us do what we do. I have literally had 15 calls this week from people wanting to get rid of pets. I cant help them alone. We currently have a walk-a-thon fundraiser set up for tomorrow at the Ashdown City Park, but participation is low. Would you please consider donating? 1. There will be a costume contest for people AND pets. We need judges for this contest. Interested? Send us a message.

How many of you remember Giselle? She was one of our 6 pups that were delivered at the low cost spay and neuter clinic May 2022. Well, thankfully, her new owner reached out today and gave us this wonderful update! It's so good to see her and to KNOW she is living a wonderful life!

Buddy has officially completed his fast kill heartworm treatment and has been here at the rescue well over a year. Its time that he meet a foster family that may want to eventually call his own. He is a Chihuahua mix and the vet estimates his age to be approx 4 years, even though he does look older in the face (vet says that some do that due to the coloring). If you would be interested in either fostering, adopting or foster to adopt, please send us a message and we can get you on the way!

Just a quick update about our medical case dogs. Buddy got his full heartworm shot series and will be retested in 6 months. Thunder will start his treatment on Monday.

We would like to thank our donor that helped with Buddy's treatment. Because of your donation, we saved a life.

If you would be interested in helping with Thunder's heartworm shot series, shoot us a message and we can get you the information for the vet and you can send it directly to them. Any and all help is greatly appreciated because we are broke. We tried the slow kill method per the vet recommendation for a full year. That on top of regular vaccines, neuter, feed and other dogs at the rescue is tapped out.

How it works is you pick whatever day of the calendar, then donate that amount. For example, you pick the 18th, then donate $18. You may pick as many squares as you want. Everyone that donates will be entered for a drawing at the end of the month.

We wanted to give everyone a quick update on our 2 medical cases, Buddy and Thunder.

Just a reminder of their story-they were strays that were found after their owner had passed away. When we were contacted, they had been on their own over a year. We took them in and got them a check up, neutered, and medical testing. Both turned out to be heartworm positive.

Today we took them in for their one year check up. They have been on slow kill treatment for their heartworm condition. Unfortunately, both are still heartworm positive after the full year of treatment. The vet is recommending the fast kill treatment at this time. This is a expensive process that we just do not have the funds for because it is $425 PER DOG before taxes.

Normally we would run a fundraiser, but out fundraisers have not been doing that great. This is making it hard for us to help extensive cases such as these guys or to be able to accept as many owner surrenders. So at this time, we are begging YOU for help. UPDATE-OWNER LOCATED! HAPPY TAILS!

Is this sweetheart yours? Was deposited at my home last night and very likely abandoned. She has been checked for a microchip and she doesn't have one. Will yall please share? We already have 2 medical cases at the rescue. This lady is in heat or already pregnant.
That being said, in 72 hr stray hold is up. Would anyone be interested in sponsoring her vetting so she can find a new home quickly?
